We draw the template by hand, not necessarily evenly and symmetrically. The width of the panties when unfolded should correspond to half or slightly more than the circumference of the can.

We also cut out the yellow stripes to fit the size of the jar. One is higher than the can in order to bend the edges inward, and the second is narrower, we will glue it inside the can. Cut out the bottom. Pants and eyes according to the template. Pupils and buttons using a hole punch.

Fom Eva is a porous rubber, flexible, light, elastic, odorless. The material is produced in Iran, so many people are still unfamiliar with this material on the Russian market. Fom Eva is produced in sheets measuring 50x50 cm, of various densities. They produce foamiran in different colors, which allows you to create beautiful flower bouquets, decorations, and various products.

Foamiran is not toxic; heat resistant; easy to clean; products made from it are not afraid of interaction with water. Porous von EVA rubber holds its shape well, which means that products formed from this material (appliqués, decorations, flowers) will eventually be the same as the master intended them.

Foamiran is easy to cut with curly scissors and general-purpose scissors. Using a shaped hole punch made of porous rubber, you can create blanks or original slits in the material for further use of foamiran in decorative arts.

Depending on the structure and density of the material, it is used to create different products. For example, to make flowers and decorations, you need to choose foamiran of a uniform structure without visible holes. Despite the name “porous rubber,” the fewer pores on the surface of the fomiran, the easier it is to work with.

How to work with porous rubber.

Very simple, but not very fast. The fact is that by cutting out the workpiece with scissors or a figured hole punch, you need to give the flat sheet of foamiran volume. And this can be done using heat treatment. To do this, foamiran is rubbed in the palms so that when the palms rub, heat is generated and the material becomes more pliable. After this simple technique, the foamiran blank is stretched, bent, and, in general, given the required volume. The EVA background stretches by 10%, the structure of the material allows it to be bent, twisted, twisted, and all impacts on the rubber can be either corrected or preserved.

But when creating flat figures for appliqué, decorating albums using the technique, decorating photo frames and other ideas, you will definitely like this material, since it is easy to cut, it does not have sharp edges and sticks well.

Of course, the ideal option for most types of needlework is a glue gun. You are guaranteed to stick most materials without getting your hands dirty. But if you don’t have a glue gun, don’t worry, any type of rubber glue will do, because Von Eva is primarily rubber, albeit odorless.
