Eye makeup in black and white. How to make makeup with black shadows? Video "Black smokey eye makeup"

One of the options for stylish eye makeup is the use of black eyeshadow. The look is especially bright, expressive and charming. Black shadows enhance the depth of the eyes and help to correct the shape of the eyelids if necessary.

Who suits makeup with black shadows?

In order not to look ridiculous or overly provocative, it is important before going out to determine whether makeup with black shadows suits you and how intense it should be in your particular case. If you are the owner of dark eyes, you can safely apply such a somewhat outrageous and catchy makeup for an evening dress. But for the fair sex with blue, gray or green eyes, there is also the opportunity to create the image of a fatal seductress. The main thing is to take into account some of the nuances and know the little tricks.

To avoid rough, excessive contrast, make-up for light-eyed girls, in addition to black shadows, must also contain some other color. For example: green, brown, pink, grey, purple. It is applied along the upper eye contour next to the black color and blended gently to create a smooth transition. It is advisable to apply a little light tone to the inner corners of the eyes and also with a brush to achieve a smooth flow into a dark color. Light shadows or close to the natural skin tone are applied to the area under the eyebrow.
However, with black shadows, you need to be careful, do makeup carefully and know when to stop so as not to overdo it. This, as a rule, is an evening option for a holiday, going to a restaurant, a nightclub, or a movie. For the day, such an extravagant make-up is not suitable. In daylight, dark shadows look out of place and defiant.

Makeup options with black shadows

smoky eyes- a favorite version of a solemn, evening make-up among girls. With it, the eyes become especially attractive and bright. In a look through a light haze, mystery and some audacity, obstinacy appear. This method of applying black shadows is often used by makeup artists, as the most popular among clients. In this case, they take not only black shadows, but also various shades of gray, as well as black liquid eyeliner or a pencil. Complete all the beauty by applying voluminous black mascara to the eyelashes.

False eyelashes can be used for the visual effect of enlarging the eyes and to make the look more expressive. They will make the look incredibly attractive, playful and luxurious.

If you apply a thin or fairly dense layer of black eyeliner to the upper eyelid immediately behind the eyelashes, and use a black pencil above, you can also enlarge your eyes. Such an interesting option gives the image some windiness and, like honey, attracts men.

Basic rules for creating black and white eye makeup

  • Under the shadows on the skin of the eyelids, it is necessary to apply a foundation so that the makeup does not roll or smear. After all, when using black, any irregularities become especially noticeable.
  • When doing black and white makeup, keep in mind that there should be no sharp borders. All lines must be shaded. It is necessary to achieve smooth, smooth transitions. If it is white and next to black, then there will be a small area of gray between them.
  • Matte shadows go on softer and are easier to apply than glossy ones. In addition, they look more interesting.
  • To still get the shine and shimmer effect, you can at the very end, as a final chord, apply some shiny shadows to the inner corners of the eyes. This technique will be especially useful if the eyes look extinct and tired. This will brighten up the look a bit. For daytime makeup, it is better to refrain from shine or apply quite a bit.
  • When choosing a technique for applying shadows, it is necessary to take into account such a moment that white blurs the contour of the eyes, and black makes the border clear and pronounced.
  • Dark shadows on the upper eyelids and the same intense, densely applied black color on the lower ones produce an unpleasant sensation, like bruises under the eyes. Try not to go overboard at the bottom of the eyes.
  • The arrows must be perfectly aligned. Especially on white shadows, curvature and sloppiness will be especially noticeable.
  • To create daytime makeup, it is desirable to do without arrows induced by black eyeliner. It is better to slightly emphasize the lines with a pencil or correct the shape of the eyes.
  • With brightly painted eyes, it is necessary that the skin of the face look perfect. To do this, mask all the smallest imperfections with a foundation or corrector and powder your face a little.
  • Day makeup should not be flashy and very noticeable. Try to create a more natural look.

How to do makeup with black shadows

Prepare for makeup:

  • several special brushes;
  • matte shadows: black, any brown and light shade;
  • black pencil.

Step 1. Apply a black shadow with a brush on the moving part of the eyelid. Try to apply so that the shadows do not stain the face and do not crumble. To do this, you need to make light blotting movements with a brush.

Step 2. Next, take a clean brush for brown, apply a new tone to the edge of the black shadows and blend everything gently a little towards the eyebrows. Then the edge of the brown shadows with a new brush should be well shaded. Instead of brown, you can take gray or any other color.

Step 3. Apply a light color shadow to the area just below the eyebrow. Also, the edge should be shaded. Nowhere should there be sharp lines and borders between different colors, only smooth transitions.

Step 4. Using a thin brush with dark shadows, bring the lower edge of the eyelid, from the corner to the middle, and also soften the borders.

Step 5. Very carefully draw a thin line over the lower lashes with a soft, but well-sharpened, black pencil. It should also be brought on the upper eyelid along the cilia.

Step 6. Paint over the upper lashes with voluminous mascara, slightly twisting them with a brush. Do the same with the bottom ones. If there is not enough density and length, you can use false eyelashes.

Black Eye Makeup Types

Beauticians-makeup artists distinguish only three types of dark make-up:

  • Classical. These are the well-known Smoky eyes, which are best suited for formal evening outings. They help to highlight the eyes, emphasize their expressiveness.
  • Arab. Ideal for women of the oriental type, but also looks amazing on owners of dark hair in combination with brown or green eyes.
  • Vanguard. A gloomy make-up that can be used as an everyday one.

How to prepare your face for a dark make-up

To do makeup with black or other dark eye shadows, you need to know how to properly prepare the skin. It should have a healthy and uniform shade. If the skin is far from ideal, the foundation will lie unevenly, emphasizing absolutely all (even the smallest) flaws.

Face preparation is carried out in several stages:

  • Peeling or scrub - helps to remove dead cells.
  • Cleansing - with the help of foam or gel for washing, impurities accumulated in the skin are removed. Cleared pores produce much less sebum. After that, the face is not wiped, but lightly blotted with a napkin.
  • Toning - closes pores, enhances metabolic processes in the epidermis and prepares the skin for applying the cream.
  • Nutrition - for this, a mask or thermal water is used.
  • Moisturize - Serum or cream is best for this step.

Before you make up your eyes with dark shadows, do not forget to apply any base under the make-up and create an even tone. Of course, you can just use foundation, but it is best to even out the complexion with a mineral foundation for makeup. It looks like a regular powder, but when applied, it perfectly evens out the skin. The main advantages of this tool is that it not only hides skin defects, but also fine wrinkles. In addition, due to its light texture, it does not dry out the skin at all.

After evening out the tone of the face, apply powder on the cheekbones, wings of the nose, and chin. Do not forget that its color should be slightly lighter than the main shade. This will help to slightly adjust facial features: emphasize the volume of the lips, highlight the cheekbones, etc. If you have mineral powder, use it. It lays down easily and due to the screening effect it is easier to make the skin radiant with it. And in the summer, this tool also protects the skin from ultraviolet radiation.

Apply blush for the final touch. Their color can be anything - from saturated coral to light pink. But it must be in harmony with the tone of the base. When blending, create a soft transition between shades.

  • Apply an ivory shade under the eyebrow.

  • brushes.

To create a make-up:

  • Cover all eyelids with a primer that suits you.

  • Bring the lash line, bringing it to the arrow.
  • Apply the darkest shade on the eyelid with a thin line at the inner corner, and then stretch it to the outer edge.
  • Define the contours clearly. The pencil can also be shaded so that there is no clearly visible border.
  • Blend tone 2 Black on the upper eyelid, slightly moving the corner of the arrow up and to the side.
  • Apply a light shade with a shimmer to the inner corner, under the eyebrows and on the lower eyelid.
  • Color your eyelashes.

There is another, third option - classic everyday makeup with dark eye shadow and light lips.

  • eyeliner;
  • ink.

  • Put a little shade 2 Black on the lower eyelid and blend just a little.
  • Apply tone 37 Light Beige to the inner corner.
  • Color your eyelashes.

Features of dark eye makeup of various shades

If we talk about the palette for decorating the eyelids, then everything depends not only on your personal desires and preferences, but also on the natural color of the eyes. Brown eyes are more suitable for classic dark gray, brown and black tones. Shades of deep and rich burgundy, copper, bronze or blue look very bold on them. At the same time, the lighter the color of the eyes, the lighter the palette should be chosen.

All owners of green and blue eyes are perfect cosmetics of medium saturation. Therefore, if you want to make a beautiful evening dark eye makeup, as in the photo, it is better to combine two or more colors. First apply matte, and then over them - with a metallic effect. And do not forget that with such a make-up, you should definitely use bright lipstick for your lips.

Do you have green eyes? Then choose a palette of chocolate and copper tones. It looks especially good on women with light brown or dark curls. All owners of sky-colored eyes should focus on them and select shades of cold tones: silver, blue, white or gray. For an unusual holiday make-up, a palette with purple, turquoise or lilac shades is suitable. The classic smoky make-up is done with brown, eggplant or sand-colored cosmetics.

Brown eyes with light brown curls should prefer blue, gray and green colors. The main thing is that they are in harmony with each other and combined with lipstick. But women with gray eyes are the luckiest. They are perfect for almost all existing palettes. Wine shades look especially impressive on them.

Choosing shades for blue, gray, green or brown eyes, there is no need to go in cycles in any one color. Try to experiment. Look for your option and application technique.

Let the make-up be your highlight!

Black shadows are a universal make-up tool that should be in every girl's makeup bag. They can be used solo, for example, to create rocky smokey eyes, or combined with cobalt or gold. Black shadows can emphasize any shade of the eyes, make the look more expressive. We offer several ideas for interesting and unusual makeup with black shadows.

How to make makeup with black shadows - application technique

Whether you're using just black or mixing it with lighter shades, remember the main rule. The color should not be completely uniform, otherwise you risk getting round little panda eyes. Blend or dilute with other tones, play with semitones and vary them. The classic scheme for applying dark shadows is shown in the diagram below.

We leave the inner corner as the lightest, this allows you to visually enlarge and “open” the eye. We make the outer corner the darkest - we add depth to the look. The tone on the movable eyelid - smoothly transitions from light to dark. We emphasize the fold with a certain intermediate shade, do not darken it too much, otherwise the eyes will “fail”.

smoky eyes

We associate classic black smokey eyes with images of rock divas, with mysterious and inaccessible beauties. Unfortunately, such a make-up is hardly suitable for everyday use, but for going to a club or a concert it is just right. Let's get started.

We will need: a black pencil (it is better to take a semi-soft one to make it easier to blend), an asphalt shade of shadow, a brush for shading, as well as a small flat brush with a beveled edge for eyeliner of the lower eyelid, mascara.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. First, apply a primer to the eyelid. It allows the shadows to be better shaded, and the color to remain bright and saturated.
  2. Draw a pencil line along the upper lashes.
  3. Cover the upper eyelid with a dense layer of black shadows.
  4. "Pull" the color towards the crease of the eyelid, then blend. Movements should be fast and sharp.
  5. With a wide, clean brush, carefully soften the borders. In no case should they be clear.
  6. Pay special attention to the inner corner of the eye. Blend the shadows in the direction of the eyebrow. Add colors to the outer corner.
  7. Line the lower eyelid with a beveled brush. Make the line more voluminous.
  8. Fine-tune your eyelashes. If the event is very solemn, then it is permissible to add a few artificial beams to the outer corner.

Eye makeup black and white shadows

The classic combination of black and white in makeup looks elegant and expensive, besides this is a great solution for owners of small eyes. The next make-up is more of an evening version, it will be in perfect harmony with red lipstick, smooth hair and massive diamond earrings.

You will need a minimum of tools and materials: white matte shadows (you can use a special pencil), soft black or graphite pencil, black matte shadows, liquid or gel eyeliner, mascara, flat brush, fluffy shading brush, small with a beveled edge.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. We always start by applying the base. If you use a white pencil, then it will serve as an excellent base.
  2. "Whiten" the movable eyelid.
  3. Draw a fold with a pencil. We start from the outer corner.
  4. We collect shadows on a flat brush and with soft “investing” movements we wear them along the fold line.
  5. With quick movements, blend the shadows towards the eyebrows. Note that we are only "capturing" the outer border of the color.
  6. We bring the lower eyelid. Soften the line.
  7. We draw an arrow. It should be as thin as possible at the inner corner and gradually thicken towards the outer.

Light makeup with black shadows

Makeup looks softer and more natural using black and beige shadows. It can be done in pencil technique, for which we need to prepare a dark brown pencil, black eyeliner, cream shadows a tone darker than the skin, black matte shadows, light mother-of-pearl, mascara.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. We apply the base.
  2. We bring the upper eyelid with a pencil, draw an inverted V in the outer corner. The line continues in the crease of the eyelid.
  3. Fill the outer corner with color (for now, use only a pencil).
  4. Duplicate the pencil line with black shadows. A small brush will do the job best.
  5. We take a fluffy brush and gently extinguish the color border. Under the eyebrow we apply mother-of-pearl. Please note that you should not have a clear border between the tones, mix them.
  6. Bring the lower eyelid.
  7. We apply beige shadows on the moving eyelid.
  8. Draw an arrow with black eyeliner.
  9. We paint eyelashes. Let's reveal a little secret. If you want to get bright fluffy and long eyelashes, then first apply voluminous mascara (4 layers), then add lengthening (2-3 layers).

Makeup for brown eyes - black and glitter

Black shadows are ideally combined with gold, silver, as well as with all kinds of sparkles and sequins. The make-up turns out to be festive, but at the same time seasoned, it does not look cheap or too youthful. Such a bright luxurious make-up reminds us of the bewitching east, so it is ideal for brown-eyed beauties with an almond-shaped cut.

We will use creamy shadows of two varieties of gold (yellow and brownish) and black shades, gel eyeliner. Don't forget to stock up on lush false eyelashes.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Apply light gold to the inner corner of the eye with soft inserting movements. The layer should be dense. You can climb a little on the lower eyelid.
  2. Next, apply a darker tone. Closer to the outer corner, we put it in several layers.
  3. The outer corner itself is highlighted in black. The border between the colors does not need to be shaded.
  4. We draw an arrow, we will have it wide enough along the entire length, and glue the cilia. Now you are a real Scheherazade and will be able to win the heart of the Sultan.

Makeup for blue eyes with black shadows

Owners of blue eyes should pay attention to this makeup.

We perform it in the classic smoky eye technique, but gold sparkles applied along the lower eyelid line add zest to the image. You can also add some glitter to the top of the eye, but don't get carried away.

Makeup for green eyes with black shadows

With silver shades, you should always be very careful, because you can get an overly futuristic look. Black is able to balance the metallic sheen, make it deeper and nobler.

To create a two-tone makeup, you will need a gel eyeliner with a good thin brush, black matte shadows, and silver mother-of-pearl. You can add glitter if you like.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. We draw an arrow. It should be even and clear. We make a gradual thickening closer to the outer corner of the eye. Please note that the corner itself is clearly outlined.
  2. Fill the "tail" of the arrow with color.
  3. Carefully duplicate the lines with shadows. Don't go beyond their limits.
  4. Apply silver shadows to the central part of the moving eyelid and to the corner. Mix with black.
  5. Add some silver glitter to the center.
  6. Bring the lower eyelid, slightly blend the line.
  7. Color your eyelashes.
  8. Attention: this makeup should remain clear and graphic, so shading is not needed.

Make-up with black and silver shadows, video

Black shadows are charm and elegance. Not every girl dares to make herself with black shadows, because they imply a bright and outrageous image. It is important to use them correctly, which requires training and knowledge of makeup techniques, otherwise black shadows look vulgar and sloppy.

How to make up your eyes with black shadows to get a bright, elegant make-up? Firstly, black shadows are not for everyone. If your appearance is gentle, light and you are not used to wearing black or bright things, black shadows will not work. Also, black shadows must be chosen with high quality, preferably professional - they will not roll, crumble, blend well and lie on the eyelids beautifully and neatly.

Black shadows should be chosen for evening makeup. During the day, they prefer colored shadows, because in the evening the color is no longer perceived and monochrome shadows are suitable to highlight and beautifully emphasize the cut of the eyes. Therefore, it is better to paint with black shadows in the evening or for a solemn event.

In makeup with black shadows, the emphasis is on the eyes, so choose a soft and neutral lipstick.

Before you do such makeup, you must definitely put your skin in order. All small wrinkles, specks and irregularities must be hidden under foundation and powder. Black shadows look great only in combination with the perfect skin tone.

Eyelids and skin under the eyes should be well powdered, in case the shadows crumble, they can be easily shaken off with a brush. If the skin is “naked”, the shadows will simply smudge and you can’t do without a special makeup remover.

Meanwhile, making such a make-up is very simple, because it does not require a large number of “ingredients” and is done quickly enough.

Briefly about the main:

The ease of doing it, of course, depends on the experience that you gain over time, I regularly try this black and white technique(There are many variations of this technique, you can choose the most suitable for you).

When is black and white makeup appropriate?

Correctly dose the shadows in the makeup with black and white shadows

It is appropriate for both daytime and evening make-up. The main thing here is to correctly dose the shadows, especially black, since it has the unpleasant property of visually reducing the eye.

Generally, intense black and white makeup it will look beautiful in a restaurant, theater, etc., and a barely noticeable black and white make-up will be an excellent option for regular daytime application to work, study.

It is noteworthy that such makeup, unlike natural, perfectly visible- it highlights the eyes, making them more expressive and mysterious, but unobtrusive.

Who should wear black and white makeup?

It all depends on your skill. In general, it looks win-win on brunettes, but for blondes, with rational use, the use of black shadows is not prohibited.

Best way to do this makeup dark-eyed girls, but if you are the owner of gray, blue or green eyes, applying a beautiful make-up in this style is quite realistic (although you need to know some details of its creation).

The subtleties of black and white makeup

The subtleties of makeup black and white shadows

  1. Under the shadows, you need to apply a base, which can be used as a gel or cream (or a base for makeup, if there is one in a cosmetic bag) - the base will help increase the saturation and durability of the shadows.
  2. Black, as already noted above, visually reduces the eye, but white, on the contrary, makes the outlines of the eye blurry. A competent combination of shadows will eliminate these shortcomings.
  3. If you want to hide tired eyes and give them a glow, apply some light shadows to the inner corner of the eye.
  4. It is better not to draw arrows for black and white makeup - a white base will make any unevenness too noticeable, especially in daytime makeup.
  5. Day makeup involves the use of black shadows, but it is better to take a dark pencil, which has a less saturated shade.
  6. Dark shadows should be applied only on the moving eyelid (not on the crease), as such an abundance can ruin the entire makeup.
  7. Black and white makeup reveals any unevenness of the skin, so you should ideally prepare the skin of the face.
  8. Black and white makeup can be applied with both shadows and pencils, but pencils require clear lines and are quite noticeable, so they are not for everyone.

Evening makeup with black and white shadows

Since black and white makeup looks most advantageous in the evening version, consider the instructions for applying it. There are many such instructions, but the one described below is one of the most beautiful and quite easy to perform.

  1. Apply a primer to the eyelids - the base for the eyelids, which guarantees the durability of makeup.
  2. Apply a dark shade gel cream shadow with your fingers all over the moving eyelid.
  3. After that, blend the cream eye shadow with a brush and apply some dark eye shadow on the lower eyelid.
  4. Draw a thin line along the growth of the eyelashes of the lower eyelid with a pencil.
  5. Using a brush, apply some light pearlescent shadows to the area under the eyebrows. You should also highlight the lower eyelid with light shadows, but so minimally that a black tint appears.
  6. Apply mascara to curled lashes. So that your cilia do not stick together from the mascara, immediately “comb” them with a brush.
