Max factor eyeliner gray. Eyeliner Max Factor Contour Kohl Pencil

I bought it in Rive Gaucher, while I was pregnant. That is already 4 years ago! Then I had a fixed idea about a light edging of the lips before painting them with lipstick, and I also wanted to draw the so-called water line - the mucous membrane of the lower eyelid, for visual increase peephole I stupidly went for a white pencil (in my case it was a mistake). I trust Max Factor, and I took the pencil offered by the consultant without any hesitation. The price was 250-300 rubles. It seems not very expensive, but for a simple white pencil, I think it’s not little. He had to be at least good. I’ll tell you about the disappointment that befell me after the purchase as the review progresses, but for now let’s look at it and the make-up using it. So, here it is, the highlight of our program. For 4 years I only used half of it, and I didn’t like it to such an extent.

Now I’ll show you which application is the most adequate for me - highlighting accents, the corner of the eye and the lash line on the eyelids. Perhaps the only plus of the pencil is its saturation and fat content - it is easy to apply. I apply a pencil to the already prepared shadows, but try to be thicker. Since after shading it dissipates greatly. This is the "semi-finished product"

Then I shade it with these brushes....

And I draw an arrow on top with this eyeliner.

Well, with mascara to complete the picture))

This kind of application has never gone anywhere. On shadows + with shading, the pencil doesn’t look bad.

Now about the mucous membrane - I didn’t like the effect. Firstly, it turned out that White color I'm not suited for this. It contrasts too much with the color of the white, creates the effect of “tired eyes”, and looks vulgar. A milky beige pencil worked great for my waterline, but that's a completely different story. Okay, the color is my fault, but the pencil itself stays on the mucous membrane for at most 2 hours, and it starts to streak. I don't use it like that anymore.

As for the edging of the lips, that’s also a bummer for me. Again, firstly, for this I need a calmer color, not pure white. White - apparently it was “out of greed” that brought it to me at the time, so that immediately wow, what an effect. But you either need a creamy champagne color again, or just highlight it with a lighter foundation, as I did in Lately I do. So here, too, it’s not even a matter of color. I didn't like how it lay on the edge of my lips. I SEE HIM! Directly obvious and too much, even if you shade it. There are also a million white micro-crumbs around the lips that remain if you look closely. Vulgar, noticeable, collective farm and generally fu-fu-fu! Personally, it didn’t suit me for these 2 purposes, so I can’t recommend it to you, friends. I could buy a pencil with similar properties for 50 rubles on the market, but not for 300.

Thanks for reading

Max Factor Kohl Pencil is a traditional wooden pencil. Our tests showed that the lead is too hard for an eyeliner and even more so for kajal. It is difficult for them to get a bright line, it is difficult to apply and does not completely color the skin. In addition, the pencil is not very stable, it is easily erased by accidental touches and can smudge if you have oily skin. You will have to stock up on a mirror and patience to adjust the contour throughout the day.

Stability - 3.2

According to our experts, the Max Factor Kohl Pencil is not very durable. The women who participated in our tests noted that it was erased by accidental touches, and on oily skin blurs from natural skin oils, especially in hot weather. Using this pencil, you will have to touch up your makeup from time to time.

Contour - 2.8

To get the desired effect from the Max Factor Kohl Pencil, you will need to swipe it over your eyelid several times. To assess the quality of the smear, we applied three lines to the skin - one, three and five layers. You can see this in the photo above. Max Factor Kohl Pencil is difficult to apply, if you want to get a smooth, intense line, you will have to apply two or three layers.

Based on our tests, the Max Factor Kohl Pencil has below average stroke quality. It has a medium-hard lead that leaves an uneven mark and does not completely stain the skin.

In the photo under a microscope we see the same picture as Givenchy Magic Khol - a smooth surface of the smear, which in practice looks like a faded line that needs to be further outlined.

Ease of rinsing - 4.2

Our tests have shown that contour applied with Max Factor Kohl Pencil washes off well. It is especially easy to wash it off with a two-phase liquid - this can be done in one movement of the hand; not much more effort will be required if you use plain water and soap.

It is a little more difficult to remove the contour using micellar water and makeup remover milk, however, even here the difference is insignificant.

Ergonomics - 3.4

The Max Factor Kohl Pencil is not that easy to draw with - this is the conclusion our experts have come to. And this despite the fact that it is considered kajal. It has a hard lead that drags the skin of the eyelid and draws with a broken line, so you have to apply the outline in small strokes, which, of course, is not very convenient.

The Max Factor Kohl Pencil comes in the form of a traditional wooden pencil. It is easy to sharpen, especially since it has a hard lead that does not crumble or break. However, there are no extras for the pencil. If you want to sharpen the tip or shade the line, you will have to use devices from your cosmetic arsenal.

I'm not a great eyeliner, so maybe that's why I'm not very confident in choosing pencils. But maybe my review will be useful to someone. In this post we will talk about the Max Factor liquid effect pencil. Brown 05 Brown.

I bought it in Rive Gaucher for 280 rubles. I smeared a tester pencil on my hand and walked around the store looking for others cosmetics. The pencil did not want to be erased from my hand and seemed very durable to me. That's why I bought it later.
The manufacturer promises: A specially designed long-lasting pencil with a soft creamy texture with the effect of liquid eyeliner.

On the back of the pencil there is a rubber pad for shading.

The pencil is soft, but not too soft. The line is drawn without pressure, without difficulty. The color is dark brown, rich.

It looks like this:

By the end of the day it becomes a little smudged, as can be seen in the photo:

You can even see it in the crease of your eyelid:

Apparently this is due to the softness of the pencil. But the color can be completely removed from the eyes only with the help of makeup remover. And the line will not disappear from sight by itself. The staying power of the pencil is decent.

Overall, I'm happy with the pencil. Rating for him: very good.
