Atsushi nakashima continued the traditions of his predecessors and offered detachable sleeves, asymmetrical raincoats and geometric inserts at his show, without losing harmony and practicality in clothes.

The next show was a catwalk Alberto Zambelli... Alberto's collection had a certain passion for geometry. Resolute and austere graphic lines, geometric inserts have created well-balanced architectural forms. But despite the fact that the Italian designer cuts and builds, like buildings, his collection, he managed to preserve lightness and weightlessness in clothes. Sheer organza lent even more elegance to the dresses.

In the show Cristiano Burani spring-summer 2018 played on color contrasts. Gray became the background of the collection, which then shimmered in phosphoric green, then yellow, then orange shades. As in past shows, plaid, stripe and sparkling lurex dominated. Loose fit and sporty style, flat shoes once again confirmed the youth style of clothing. Apparently, the vibrant nightlife is very much to the liking of fans of Cristiano Burani, which is probably why he created a pajamas suit for them. Bright green and pink silk sets with a color print, although they resemble pajamas, will be quite a worthy outfit at any youth party.

The most anticipated was, of course, the show Gucci... Alessandro Michele continued his journey through time. Its history dates back to Ancient Rome, but it also tells about characters from other times. In his new collection, Alessandro Michele tried not to miss anything. The show featured colorful colors and a Prince of Wales check, 80s-inspired mini dresses and shiny satin suits, vintage and modern. Perhaps the most important hero of the collection was costume jewelry, which generously adorned both male and female looks. Unisex style has long been a tradition at Gucci, and since the representatives of the fashion house again combined men's and women's collections in the show, it was not always easy to distinguish who is who.

Founder and designer of the Fashion House Alberta ferretti went against the trends and, despite the desire of some brands to dress women as men and men as women, presented an elegant, lyrical and very feminine image on the catwalk. Soft tones of pink, blue and green gave the outfits even more delicacy and tenderness.

Already on the first day of the shows, it became clear that many Fashion Houses prefer to organize joint shows of men's and women's collections. Does this mean that soon we will have to part with men's or women's Fashion Weeks? Quite possible. The main thing is that men do not part with the masculine image, and women with the feminine one.

The second day of Milan Fashion Week was the epitome of femininity and romance itself. Maybe because the collections used such exquisite fabrics as transparent organza, noble satin, shiny crepe de Chine - everything sparkled, sparkled and shone through, creating an intriguing "I see - I do not see" effect.

Or maybe because on this day the true creators of the Italian style, veterans of Made in Italy presented their shows: MaxMara, Fendi, Prada, Luisa Beccaria and Moschino.

It all started in Italian - with a show MaxMara... More than half a century has passed since Achille Maramotti founded this legendary brand, but decades later, the MaxMara style has not lost the femininity and elegance that once glorified the Made in Italy brands all over the world. And even if straight skirts covering the knees, long dresses made of transparent black chiffon, strict raincoats and camel-colored coats seemed familiar for a long time, they still looked very impressive and relevant. And the role of novelties on the catwalk was played by fabrics - chiffon and organza, which gave female images a special appeal and sexuality. There were also men's two-piece suits at the presentation, but they have long ago organically blended into the women's wardrobe and did not spoil the elegant and feminine style of the collection.

But in the garden Luisa Beccaria as always, everything was in bloom. Roses, daisies and other wonderful flowers covered long floor-length dresses. The faces of the spectators present at the show also bloomed: apparently, the collection radiated a truly positive energy. The Milanese designer continued to glorify romance, while she completely managed not to lose modernity.

Karl Lagerfeld has been living between Paris and Rome for many years and, despite his very mature age, manages not only to create brilliant collections, but also to keep two leading fashion houses afloat: Chanel and Fendi. He does not lack genius, because he once drew for MaxMara those same camel coats, which the brand's designers still periodically get from the archives.

At Milan Fashion Week Karl Lagerfeld presented Fendi... For this Italian brand, he has created a very elegant collection. She wore feminine pencil skirts, long bell skirts, transparent dresses, and fitted raincoats. Sexuality was in everything. The Fendi designer did not refuse romantic chiffon either, but he suggested wearing transparent blouses over striped turtlenecks.

Italian Lucio Vanotti and The-sirius- the brand of the debuting Korean designer - decided to stick to the style favored by newcomers - romantic deconstructivism. Here and there something was missing, although on the whole the collections turned out to be quite complete, complete and very interesting.

Layering is another of the mottos of the new spring-summer 2018 collections. Miuccia Prada also supported him. In the collection Prada Spring-summer 2018 she released on the catwalk models dressed in blouses over T-shirts, dresses over shirts, and all this - over trousers.

The third day of Milan Fashion Week is somewhat reminiscent of the movie “Chicago”, in which the heroines Roxy Hart and Valma Kelly fight each other to win the front pages in the newspapers to save their lives. On Friday, two giants of the Italian fashion industry: Armani and Versace clashed in a battle for supremacy.

At first, this day belonged entirely to King Giorgio. The founder of the Italian prêt-à-porter is never wrong. So this time, in its new collection spring-summer 2018 Giorgio armani managed to successfully combine glamor and elegance, luxury and sophistication. Despite the fact that gloss was the key to the collection, everything looked extraordinarily elegant and no-nonsense. The designer did not forget about his favorite total black, he also remained faithful to the suits of two-piece men's cut.

However, to everyone's surprise, Armani was not the only hero of the day. The king of Italian fashion had to share the stage with another famous brand - Versace... The brand ended its show with a stunning finale that attracted all the press to its side. Donatella's collection, dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the death of the company's founder, Gianni Versace, combines all the archetypes of a designer, from leather jackets with rivets to multicolored prints. But the main surprise came at the end of the show, when, under the phrase “Gianni, I love you, we love you, this is all for you,” 5 legendary top models of all time took the stage in gold dresses: Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Carla Bruni. The audience could not stay in their places and everyone rushed to the podium with a noise in the hope of taking a picture or getting an autograph from world divas.

It is worth noting that young designers are also growing alongside legendary brands. From season to season they delight with fresh ideas and bright trends. On the third day of Milan Fashion Week, Marco de Vincenzo showed his skills. In the spring-summer 2018 collection of its brand Marco de Vincenzo he sings about Sicily. Maxi T-shirts with the inscription "Ultrapharum" - as the island was called in ancient times - are somewhat reminiscent of souvenir T-shirts that are sold in markets for tourists. Marco paired them with sparkling crystal skirts. However, the most impressive at the show were the bright maxi dresses, shining with all the colors of the rainbow.

If you have old shirts, do not throw them away, they may still come in handy. From them you can, for example, sew skirts similar to those made by Anna Young in her new spring-summer 2018 collection. Annakiki tailoring, one might say, is in the blood. Since childhood, the daughter of tailors has played with fabrics and coming up with outfits. That is why, when in 2012 she decided to become a designer, success came to her very quickly and easily.
It is important to note that at Milan Fashion Week, she not only showed her skillful tailoring skills, but also raised the topic of overuse of technology. With the motto “Stop Phubbing”, which was embroidered on the T-shirts, Anna urged the audience to leave their phones for a while and take a closer look at the world around them.

After Peter Dundes, it was Paul Surridge's turn to manage the style of the Fashion House Roberto cavalli... The new creative director decided to play on the animal prints that brought the brand a resounding fame in the 80s. Silk-length evening dresses were undoubtedly the embodiment of elegance and sophistication, but still did not bring the expected shake-up to the declining brand.

Milan Fashion Week 2018. Day Four

The fourth day of Milan Fashion Week shows was not as noisy as the previous one. There was neither a deadly struggle for the first pages of magazines, nor out of the ordinary provocations. Gucci's theatricality was supported only by the Sardinian designer of the Antonio Marras brand. It seemed that, at last, the fashion houses were thinking about their fans and trying to present clean, measured and practical collections. And yet, on this day, many different novelties and interesting trends could be traced on the catwalks.

Show Bottega veneta... The designers of the Italian brand tried to dress their fans elegantly and stylishly. They did not resort to pretentious tricks and presented a practical collection without any frills for an adult and respectable woman. The season's trend was supported by sparkling rivets and sequins, as well as leather goods. Bottega Veneta designers offered a large selection of demi-season outerwear: raincoats, jackets and windbreakers.

Gabriele colangelo adheres to the deconstructivist style beloved by the Japanese. The asymmetrical design and geometric shapes looked very harmonious and neat, once again confirming the extraordinary talent of the designer. Gabriele also adopted the nui shibori textile painting technique from the Japanese. She adorned dresses, blouses and garments.

Among all the collections presented on the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week, the most feminine was the collection Ermanno Scervino... Even on weekdays, a fan of the brand will look like a fabulous nymph. Luxurious chiffon dresses of this series can be worn under leather jackets, and nightgown-style dresses can be worn with a business jacket or sangallo cloak for special occasions.

White is sometimes interpreted in psychology as an absolute beginning. It was with him that the designers decided to start showing their first collection. Jil sander Lucy and Luke Meyer. The brand's minimalist style has been enriched with pleats, draperies and expensive materials, one of which is crocodile leather. It's safe to say that it was not a bad start at all.

If earlier models were supposed to only be able to walk beautifully on the catwalk, today they should have circus and acrobatic abilities. For example, at the beginning of a brand display Antonio Marras one of the models appeared to the surprised audience, romantically and carelessly swinging over their heads on a swing decorated with flowers. After that, other colorful characters of the show took to the podium. Yes, exactly the show! Because the expression "fashion show" does not capture all the beauty, theatricality and romance that the designer put into the show. It was not without reason that Fellini wrote the phrase “I don’t want to try, I want to show” before being shown on the brand's Instagram page. Who is better able to travel in time: the Sardinian designer Antonio Marras or the darling of the press Alessandro Michele - perhaps, still needs to be discussed.

Ever since designer Massimigliano Giornetti left the company Salvatore Ferragamo, the former zest has disappeared from her collections. The brand that shod and continues to shoe Hollywood divas undoubtedly takes the world leadership in the shoe industry, but unfortunately, it is still impossible to say the same about their clothes.

Milan Fashion Week 2018.Day five

The highlight of the fifth day of Milan Fashion Week, September 24, 2017, was the first ceremony GreenCarpet Fashion Awards 2017 held at the famous Teatro alla Scala. National Chamber of Italian Fashion in cooperation with the organization Eco-Age and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, recognized the most responsible fashion companies in the field of environmental protection with awards.

In total, 12 awards were awarded to Made in Italy manufacturers at the event for their environmentally friendly and most humane approach to production.

How often do we stop near the shop windows, admiring the dress we like. At this moment, we think about fashion trends, about colors and style, about how the dress will fit the figure. But does anyone ask themselves: how was it done? What do we know about who created it and under what conditions?

This is why the Green Carpet Fashion Awards have taken it upon themselves to look behind the scenes of fashion to answer these questions. To make the fashion industry more transparent. I must say that the intensity of passions is gradually increasing from the first day, which traditionally opens the Gucci house with its enchanting show, at exactly 15:00 (okay, at 15:30, but more on that later), reaches its peak on the second or third day and gradually fades away by the fifth. Later, the ranks of guests at the show noticeably thinner, and showrooms become the main places of fashion gatherings. In the last two days, there are still shows, but the attention to them is far from the same, so even Olga Buzova can exhibit, no one will notice anyway. Therefore, if you are a young designer, do not agree to participate in shows on the last two days of fashion week. You will be asked for a large sum in exchange for a very modest result.

How to get

So, in order to get to Milan Fashion Week, you need to take care of invitations or accreditation in advance. If the first option is suitable for famous people, large clients and just friends of designers (the most useless category, in my opinion), then the second one is for the press, photographers and buyers. I received my cherished badge with the help of a dear friend - the site, and this gave me the right to be in the press hub (fashion hub) located inside the futuristic Unicredit pavilion in the ultra-modern district of Milan - Porto Nova.

Well, what can I say about the hub? The food is delicious, especially exhausted workers are given prosecco and coffee. The space is equipped with modern technology and large screens where you can watch live shows of the collections. Very convenient and comfortable. One thing I didn't like: the staff at the reception are mostly young girls who barely speak English, whose brain freezes when it is necessary to solve a non-standard problem. They can simply say no to you and turn away. Very Italian.

Show invitations

When filling out the accreditation form, you will be asked to indicate your Milan address in order to send you an invitation and a badge a couple of days before the start of the fashion week. Considering that there are still two months ahead of the event, you won’t know where to stop ... Your problems. You will have to book the hotel in advance, which means at a bargain price. Or take risks with airnbn, since the mailbox will be at the disposal of other residents ... You understand, you never know ... By the way, my badge never arrived at the specified address, I had to get a new one in the hub.

As for the invitations, I left the address of my friend Simona and, having met her the day before the event, I almost went crazy with happiness, having counted about 25 for shows and presentations. After consulting with Simona (she is an experienced stylist working from all over Italy), I identified a pool of major events and followed this plan. Otherwise, I would simply not have kept up the pace and I could have been carefully taken to the nearest sanatorium due to an overabundance of feelings, a noticeably increased liver and overeating. And since we started talking about it - here is the main commandment: God forbid you agree to all the glasses of prosecco brought up, especially at 12 or (God forbid) 9 in the morning. Until the last show, you are unlikely to be satisfied with your feet, let alone an afterparty.

On show

On the day of the show, the fashion audience gathers at the address indicated in the invitation or a special catalog-calendar issued for each fashion week. Sometimes there are off the map shows when the address is hidden from everyone who is not on the invite list. In this case, the address of the event will be communicated to the guests additionally. This year, they did not want to see extra visitors to Cavalli, Vionet and Dolce and Gabbana, who, in addition to the show, staged a secret show that did not appear in the fashion catalog. The models were taken to the event place on a big bus and released onto the podium right from it!

All the rest could be found without difficulty, if only to look at the most daring street stylers and celebrity guests. The show is always delayed by at least 30 minutes (this is not Switzerland for you), but this is not a big deal, because at this time you have something to do. An hour before the show, photographers of leading publications begin to gather at the location, and visitors to the show, as well as everyone who wants to get to the pages of influential portals in the "best street style" section, gradually arrives. Who can you not see here!

I barely had time to click the most striking characters on my phone, noting their courage and creativity. She took pride in a couple of Russian girls who casually posed for a crowd of photographers and later got into all the secular chronicles. I will not be shy, I myself came under fire from flashlights: my blue cape dress was very interested in street photographers, which I learned about on the way to the show, even a little frightened by the excitement.

After you go inside, you need to go through an additional formal registration, where you will be given a letter - your sector at the show, with the help of which the security will let you into the hall. It is not entirely clear why the letter, which is already indicated on the invitation, does not suit the security, but it is in your interests to acquire a simple piece of paper, which, by the way, is as easy as shelling pears. The owners of the letter "A" are allowed in first, then "B" and so on. The last to enter are guests with electronic invitations (mostly from Asia). It is clear that A-owners get the most successful seats. Tip: if you are a blogger (like me), it is worth contacting the event organizer and letting them know. He will suggest the best shooting location for you.

During the show

As already mentioned, about half an hour after the announced start, the background music stops, it is replaced by louder music, and models appear on the podium. Sometimes in turn, sometimes all at once, but then the show will still follow the classic scenario, where you will be allowed to consider the sets separately. The show itself lasts about 10-15 minutes and ends with a collective passage of models and a bow from the designer. After that, you can immediately go to the backstage and take a photo of the hero of the evening, surrounded by models.


Sometimes after the show, guests are offered a light lunch or dinner (as was the case with the Portuguese Pedro Pedro and Carlos Gil), but more often everyone runs to the shuttle - a special minibus that will take you to the next show. The swarm of the shuttle is the most autoline, when everyone shoves and tries to jump into the transport first. The most valuable guests are carried by Mercedes and Maserati. Having your own car, it is much more convenient to participate in this quest. The greatest discomfort for me personally was caused precisely by this need to wander around the city. However, without her, nowhere.

Afterparty

An invitation to a designer's party is a great reason for adopting prosecco. As a rule, you will be treated deliciously (for example, the freshest sushi and sake in the form of sparkling (!), Like Atsushi Nakashima's) and given “access to the designer's body” when you can express your admiration for his creations and take a joint photo. I did not torment the maestro with such requests, appreciating his fatigue, and limited myself to a short phrase like: "Amazing collection, Atsushi-san!" He was flattered, conveyed warm greetings to Russia and the deeply respected Cosmo. The parties for designers are much more swanky: the number of guests competes with the clubs of Ibiza, alcohol flows like a river, wild dances happen already at the entrance. However, there is no chance to talk to the designers, since two or three models usually hang on them, blocking any extraneous contacts.


Magazine parties are very enjoyable: as a rule, there is a concept. For example, everything went very cozy at the Punkt magazine, which turned an old building in the center of Milan into a fashionable hub for one night. In addition to the buffet, there was a very interesting installation inside the building. The next morning, passing by, I hardly realized that it was here that everything was happening! Although outwardly, the building looks like an abandoned one. Magic!

Presentations

Young and shoe brands rarely get the chance to stage a show, so they limit themselves to presentations. I gladly visited the Joshua Sanders location, looking for a pair of sneakers for the coming spring, admired the scale of the Sergio Rossi installation, which immersed guests in a mystical atmosphere, and had fun at Chiara Ferragni, who presented a perky collection and fed visitors with delicious snacks served in a humorous manner.


In general, I would say that for me it was the presentations that turned out to be much more productive. After all, the show can be watched in the recording, especially since there is an opportunity to communicate with the designer or touch the collection, which will go on sale only after six months, no, but at the presentation there is, and even feed.

It was a great pleasure for me to communicate with Korean, Japanese and Chinese designers. As soon as I said that I was from Russia, their faces broke into welcoming smiles and I was still allowed to take a photo of the collection (although this is not welcome). Having mentioned Cosmo, in a minute I was taking pictures with the designers at their request. It's nice that too! I will gladly write a separate article on this topic, since the guys are doing really interesting things. In conclusion, I would like to say that if it were not for the endless winds around Milan and organizational overlays, then the fashion week would turn into a sheer pleasure. And so - the real work.

During the whole week in honor of the Fashion Week, there will be many interesting events throughout the city. From 12 to 24 September, cubes with expositions under the project were installed in the center of Milan Milano XL 2018.

From 19 to 24 September in Fashion Hub Market it will be possible to visit the exposition of collections of 13 new brands. Where: Spazio Cavallerizze del Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci (via Olona 6).

In the area of ​​Tortona from 21 to 24 September will be organized White Show where contemporary stylists will present their womenswear and accessori collections (spring / summer 2019). Where: Tortona 27 (Superstudio Più), 31 (Opificio), 35 (Hotel Nhow) and 54 (Base Milano). Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9.30-18.30; Monday 9.30-16.00. Free admission.
