Preparation for cutting

Cutting and sewing a Christmas costume for Santa Claus is not at all difficult. As a basis, you can take an ordinary home dressing gown, translate a pattern from it and use it as a pattern. How to do this I already showed in the video:.

Cutting the costume of Santa Claus

Santa Claus costume will consist of: a bathrobe, capes, hats, mittens and a belt. First you need to cut out large details: the base of the dressing gown and sleeve, then the cloak, hat and mittens. Be sure to iron the fabric before cutting, as the parts may shrink during sewing. Fold the fabric on a flat surface, with the sides facing inward, aligning the sections, with the edges facing you. Lay out the details of the pattern: a shelf and a back on the fabric.

Cutting the robe

When cutting the dressing gown, I decided not to make side seams to save money due to material limitations. The dressing gown has a straight silhouette, so there is no point in making side seams, in addition, this will lead to an additional expense for allowances.
Circle the pattern on the fabric, apply allowances: along the armholes and shoulder 1.0 - 1.5 cm, along the neck 0.5 - 0.7 cm. From the top of the shoulder point, mark the length of the dressing gown, add an allowance on the bottom 1.0 cm. And draw a line. Cut out the base of the robe.

Lay out the sleeve pattern on the fabric along the edge, mark the length of the sleeve, apply allowances along the ridge and the lines of the sleeve 1.0 - 1.5 cm. Cut the sleeves.

Cut the capes

It is not at all difficult to model the pattern of the cape; take the pattern of the shelf and the backs align at the shoulder seams. Mark the length of the cape: along the shoulder line, at the centers on the shelf and back. Circle the neck and draw a hem in a semicircle. To make patterns of wraps use tracing paper. Cut the pattern from tracing paper along the shoulder line, neck and bottom. Lay out the parts on the fabric so that the center of the shelf and backrest coincides with the warp thread. The cape shelf consists of two parts, so align the center of the shelf with the edge, and the center of the back with the fold of fabric. Circle the pattern, apply allowances along the shoulder 1.0 - 1.5 cm., Along the neckline 0.5 - 0.7 cm., On the bottom 1.0 cm.

Sewing a bathrobe

Stitch, overcast and iron the shoulder seams on the back.

Neck processing

Treat the neck of the back with a slanting inlay, going a little on the neck of the shelf.

Iron the neck

Decoration decor

Sew decorative braid to the shelf, departing from the edge of the side 8.0 cm. And not reaching the bottom 20.0 cm.

On one side of the side of the braid ends just below the depth of the neck so that when overlapping the end of the braid is not visible. Sew in a hem with a closed cut, the edge of the bead to the level of the depth of the neck, only the side where the braid is not completely sewn.

To process the sides, cut strips of 10.0 cm wide and fur = length of the sides of the shelf from the fur. The fur should be nap down. From the side of the shelf, where the braid is shorter, the fur should be on par with the length of the braid.

Pin / tack and stitch the fur to the sides. Combine the front side of the fur with the wrong side of the side. When grinding, do not let the fur pile come out.

Cut a strip of fur for processing the bottom: width 20.0 cm, length = length of the bottom - (width of the fur trim on the side). Sew the bottom trim to the bead trim with hand stitches, matching the cuts.

Bottom processing

Baste and stitch the fur strip to the bottom of the robe.

Grind the opposite side of the dressing gown, making a roll at the expense of fur 0.5 - 0.7 cm.

Remove the stitching threads, fold the fur trim to the front side and sweep it to the product.

Stitch the fur trim along the sides and bottom by 0.1 - 0.2 cm from the cut, carefully pressing the fur with scissors so that it does not fall under the line.

Remove hand stitches, comb the fur at the seams.

Sleeve Processing

Similarly, process the bottom of the sleeves with fur trim.

 Stitch seams on the sleeves

Stitch seams

Iron seams

Connection of sleeves with a product

Sweep sleeves into armholes

Stitch from the side of the sleeve

Neaten the sections and iron them on the rib.

From the scraps of fur, you can make wonderful patterns on the bottom of the robe. Glue the fur to the product using a glue gun. Show your imagination and creativity to create fancy patterns. Glue rhinestones and create an even more unique costume design.

Cape Processing

Treat shoulder sections and deepen the neck

Cut out the fur trim 10.0 cm wide in the shape of the bottom.

Sew the fur section to the cloak as described above.

Cut two straight strips from the fur (collar and gateway) for the stand-up collar, width 11.0 cm, length = neck length + 2.0 cm for allowances.

Grind the stand-up collar along the upper cut and the ends of the collar.

Sweep and stitch the collar into the neck, combining the ends of the collar with the edges of the cape.

Take the gateway to the neck, cutting around the seam of the sewing-in and cutting its allowance up.

Sew stitch on the front side of the stitch into the stitch.

I quote: “Thank you for the useful site, for the master class and confidence that you can repeat the MIRACLE with your own hands if you wish !!! Perhaps a comment on the nuances that have arisen personally with me is not superfluous:

 • fabric consumption (rolling atlas) 4.9 m, fur - 1.4 m .;
 • the growth of Santa Claus - 186 cm, OGK - 110 cm;
 • on the front there is a smell;
 • the collar is the easiest to fit when combining the shoulder seams of the front and back;
 • the width of the dressing gown on the bottom is almost 2.8 meters, as 70 cm (front) + 70cm (front) + 130cm (back) - in this dressing gown, neither boots nor trousers peep when moving and sitting on a stool;
 • the length of the sash belt is 4.5 m, the width is 12 cm .;
 • an awl without lining and selection - the fabric is dense;
 • hat - on 4 wedges, lining - double bed calico;
 • mittens - according to the pattern of ordinary workers, but narrowed to a width of 12 cm in the palm of your hand, planted them on a cord of slanting inlay = 1.8 m, so as not to get lost.

Thank you very much again !! "

Thanks Anna for the helpful comment! I sincerely wish you creative success and endless inspiration!

To make the doll’s head, we need:

 • synthetic winterizer
 • tights,
 • threads
 • needles
 • scissors.

From syntepon we make a lump D 10 cm and three more lumps for the nose and cheeks. (Photo 1)

We wrap the sintepon in stockings, tights, placing lumps for the nose and cheeks as shown in the photo. (Photo 2) Top and bottom stockings were fastened with pins so that the capron would not unwind.

Mark the points of nose tightening with colored needles for stabbing. (Photo 3).

We begin nose tightening. Enter the needle into the pink dot and put it in green, then make a small stitch of 2 mm, put it in green and put it in pink, pulling the thread. Then, from the pink point, we take the needle to the yellow point and pull off the second nostril similarly to the first. Insert the needle into the yellow dot and put it in the blue. We form the wings of the nose like this: from a yellow dot, laying a thread on top of a nylon we insert a needle into a green dot and output it in pink, then from a pink dot we draw a thread on top of a nylon, insert a needle into a blue dot and output in yellow. We fix the thread. Here we have such a nose (Photo 4)

Now we mark with colored needles for pinning the point of cheeks tightening (Photo 4). We begin to tighten the cheeks: insert the needle into the pink dot and put it in the blue, make a small stitch of 2 mm and put the needle back into the pink dot, pulling the cheek but not much. We fix the thread. Similarly, we pull off 2 cheeks: insert the needle into the yellow dot and display in green when the cheek is pulled. The thread is fixed. (Photo 5)

If there is little syntepon in the area of the sponges. Having opened the bottom of the doll’s head, we attach the necessary amount of synthetic winterizer and again twist the capron with a pin. We introduce a needle on top of the right cheek and bring out the bottom of the right cheek, throw the thread over the capron under the green needle and insert the needle into the bottom of the left cheek bringing it to the top of the left cheek. (Photo 6)

We return the needle to the middle of the lower lip and bring it into the dimple above the upper sponge and bring the needle back securing the thread there. (Photo 7)

We select eyes, beard and hair from artificial hair. (Photo 8)

We carry out eyelashes. The eyelashes are made of white satin ribbon, having spread one edge, the second is fired on a candle and with scissors we form the edges of our cilia. (Photo 9)

From red velvet we carry out a hat, mittens and sleeves according to the patterns. We make the edge of the fur. (Photo 10)

New Year is on the verge! Do you feel the spirit of magic and incipient miracles in the air?

And by the way, you yourself can participate in the creation of a miracle - sew your own Santa Claus under the New Year tree!

After all, every child and even adults secretly expect that a good wizard will bring a bag of gifts and a bunch of happiness to the chiming clock.

So, for work we need the following materials and tools:

 • Cotton white or beige fabric for the base of the body
 • Cotton multi-colored fabric for panties, cap and mittens
 • Fleece in two colors (white and red)
 • Felt for applique
 • Hollofiber for stuffing and a piece of lining padding polyester
 • Wool for felting (combed tape)
 • Foam for shoes
 • Mouline thread, buttons, beads, beads for decor
 • The wire is thick, well-kept, and thin copper
 • Thick cardboard
 • Acrylic paints, brushes
 • Felting needle
 • Pliers, wire cutters, stationery knife
 • Glue gun, Moment-Crystal glue

1. We are preparing a pattern. First, we determine the diameter of the bottom of the cone and its desired height and, based on this, construct a scan in any convenient way. Calculation formulas and construction methods are easy to find on the Internet. We draw a pattern of hands arbitrarily.

2. We cut out a circle from thick cardboard, draw a line through its center, which we divide into three equal segments. At their joints we cut holes for the wire. We impose a synthetic winterizer circle and a circle of colored fabric of slightly larger diameter. We tighten the fabric around the cardboard.

3. We bend the thick wire U-shaped, pierce it through the holes in the cardboard, synthetic winterizer and fabric. We bend the ends of the wire in the “ankles” and make “feet”. We fasten a thin copper wire longer than the height of the cone by about 10 centimeters to the jumper.

4. Important! Carefully glue the wire to the cardboard with hot melt and glue the wire joint. At this stage, the design should be well balanced and stable; cardboard should not fall down the wire!

5. From the colored fabric, we cut out two rectangles about one and a half times longer than the length of the legs and a width of about 4 centimeters. Fold along in half, stitch, twist. We pull on the legs and sew to the bottom with a hidden seam.

6. From the cotton fabric for the body we cut out the development of the cone. Fold in half and stitch along the edge, leaving the last couple of millimeters at the top unstitched. We bend the edge around the circle, sweep. We turn the resulting cone out of the fabric.

7. We put the cone on a thin wire, leading its free end through the hole on the top. We stuff the body with holofiber. We make sure that while stuffing the wire remains approximately in the center of the cone. Sew the bent edge of the body around the circumference to the bottom with a hidden seam.

8. Soles are cut out of cardboard. Draw them arbitrarily, the main thing is that it is slightly longer in the back and front than the wire loops. Glue the soles to the wire with hot glue, monitoring their stability.

9. Cut “boots” from foam rubber with scissors and a stationery knife. We cut out the bottom for the wire and cut the back of the slot in order to insert ankles into it. What matters more here is not accuracy, but the symmetry of the “shoes”. We glue the foam rubber with hot glue.

10. We cut two ovals of red fleece of such a size that it would be enough to fit the foam "shoes" with a small margin. At one of the elongated vertices of the oval, cut out a sector in the form of a triangle, put the fleece on the foam, sew the back with a blind seam and tighten the fleece around the cardboard sole.

11. We also cut two ovals from felt of a suitable color, slightly larger than a cardboard sole. We glue the felt to the sole with hot-melt adhesive, cut off the excess, and we sew the felt to the fleece with a blind seam.

12. We outline on the body the approximate lines of the top of the jacket and the bottom of the cap. There will be a face between them. We cut out a small circle from the fabric, put a ball of synthetic winterizer inside, tighten along the edge. It turns out the nose, which you need to sew on the face with a blind stitch.

13. Ground the face with white acrylic paint. We try not to go too far into the territory of future beards and hair, so that in the future there will be no difficulties with their tipping. Which face to draw is a matter of your taste and imagination.

14. We cut out a jacket in the form of a truncated cone from red fleece, fold it in half, sew along the edge, twist it. From the fleece and colored fabric we sew pens in mittens, leaving holes for stuffing, we twist, stuff, sew the holes with a blind seam.

15. We pull the jacket over the body, sew on the bottom and neck with a hidden seam. Temporarily pin the handles in order to evenly distribute the application. We cut out the details from the felt, pin it to the body, and finally think over the location of the composition.

16. First, we attach the details of the application to the fleece with a drop of “Moment” glue so that they do not move, and only then we sew it. At will, we use buttons, beads, beads, decorative elements. Sew on the “snowdrifts” ribbons from white fleece with hidden seams.

17. From the white fleece we cut the lapels of the boots and cuffs, fold them in half, sew along the edge. We pull on the handles and legs, sew it by hand.

18. By the same principle, we cut out and sew the collar. To maintain a “snowdrift” style, the edge of the collar, cuffs, lapels of the boots and the cap can be made wavy.

19. Sew handles to the body with a strong thread using button fastening. We tighten the thread a little, tie a knot and glue it for strength with “Moment” glue.

20. We tear off about 10 centimeters of wool from the combed tape, collect it into a bundle of the required thickness and carefully roll it with a needle for felting, like a beard. Then we tear off a tuft of wool 2 times thinner and about 20 centimeters long, roll in the middle under the nose like a mustache.

21. We tear off two more tufts of wool, equal in length and density to a beard, roll them on both sides of the face. The back of the felting needle gently comb and lay the wool in a broad beard.

22. We also lay down and form a hairstyle on the sides and on the back of the head. If necessary, you can trim a little with scissors and spray with ordinary hair spray, so that the hair does not fluff.

23. On the basis of a half cone, we cut out a cap that is very elongated and narrowed to the top from colored fabric. The height of the cap should correspond to the length of the free end of the wire plus 1-2 centimeters for freedom of bending. We flash the details, leaving the top open.

24. We unscrew the cap, put it on the head, leading the wire through the upper hole, sew along the edge to the head. The end of the wire is looped. We sew a lapel of white fleece and a pompom, hiding the end of the wire in it.

25. Santa Claus is almost ready. If necessary, add decor, completing the image. If you want, you can additionally sew a bag with gifts, a Christmas tree, or, for example, a symbol of the year in a pair.

Santa Claus is ready! Get more real miracles for you!

Needleworkers are a people preparing for all the celebrations and events in advance. Before the magical New Year holidays, I want to decorate my home in a special way. This article provides low-cost decor tips. Sew your own interior Santa Clauses and arrange them in all rooms. Make yourself a Christmas wreath and decorate the front door with it. Charming primitive Santo can be sewn very quickly. After all, here you do not need to turn out details for a long time or paint a face. It is enough just to accurately do the work of cutting and stitching parts. The pattern of such a cute Santa Claus consists of the correct geometric shapes, the only exception is the green leaf for decorating the cap.

What needs to be prepared for tailoring Santa Claus?

What size should the fabric flaps be?

It depends on what the size of Santa Claus will be and therefore you first need to take a paper pattern and roughly estimate the consumption of fabric. If, before printing, you want this soft toy, then you can very well use the Exel program, which is built into the standard Windows package on any computer.

How to sew Santa Claus?

Gather the nose part on a thread, tighten it a bit, insert a lump of filler inside and sew with a hidden seam to the face part.

Place the detail of the face with the nose on top of the front of the torso and stitch it in a zigzag pattern to the torso detail on the front side.

Sew the torso twice to the cap, while leaving an un sewn hole in one pair. Through it, Santa's inversion and stuffing will later occur.

Sew two body parts at the side seams.

Sew a round base to the body.

Turn out and stuff the toy.

Sew a hole in a blind seam.

From the white fleece, cut three long strips that are fastened together to start braiding. Braid the braid and carefully sew to the seam of the border between the forehead and the hat. Cut the white fleece into fringes or stripes and give Santa Claus gray hair and wisdom by sewing on a beard and mustache. Decorate the bell with a bell and felt evergreen “twig”. Make up cheeks and draw eyes.

How to make a Christmas wreath?

Christmas wreaths are becoming increasingly popular as an apartment decoration on Christmas and New Year. Do you know that such a wreath does not have to be purchased in a store? You can make it yourself from improvised materials quickly and easily.
What do you need for work? Christmas balls (preferably of different sizes), wire (you can use an old clothes hanger), pliers and a glue gun. That's it, start making a wreath.
To begin with, using a pair of pliers, make a circle of at least two turns of wire so that you can attach the prepared jewelry to it.

You can make a small hook from above, for which we will hang our wreath on the door.
The next step is to fix Christmas balls on a wire basis with a glue gun. For originality, you can add pine cones, painted with gold or silver paint. Then we give the resulting structure to dry well.
After that, carefully and beautifully wrap the ring with balls of fluffy Christmas tinsel and (or) satin ribbon. For a bigger effect we tie a large bow.
 Your Christmas wreath is ready!

Who is the main symbol of the New Year? I believe that this is Santa Claus. This old man makes us happy with gifts and magic. And what else do we expect from this holiday? Well, since we already made Christmas trees, glued, sewed, then Morozko must be done.

Moreover, there are also many ideas for this. We will pick up options for every taste and for any material. After all, the most important thing in this craft is what? True, a red hat and a white beard. And everything, the guest from Veliky Ustyug jumps to us for a holiday. Well, for those who are closer to Santa Claus, there are also ideas.

In general, it’s time for us to create and be inspired!

To begin with, let's see what creative personalities tried to make Grandpa. What fell into their hands at the first moment of creative thought. And for some reason I wanted to start the article with large interior and voluminous crafts.

Santa Claus from glasses

These Frosts inspired. All are made using the same technique, but how different they are, you are simply amazed!

The combination of red and white cups immediately brings up the idea of who it is. Look at what beards are made of: cotton wool, cotton pads, paper, yarn.

And this Grandfather even has a beard from glasses.

So how do you make them? Let's look at the diagram. We draw the blank on paper with the diameter of your choice. This we will lay out immediately the equator of our ball. The larger the diameter, the larger the ball will be!

Then line the cups. We fasten them with a stapler and make the second, third row, removing 1-2 pieces from each layer to make a circle.

Or here's an option where you need only one cup.

For the body used a sleeve from toilet paper or from paper towels.

From sweets

Next, we have simple craft presentations with sweets and lollipop. Remember, we considered, so there are also ideas with Frost and sweets. I will not repeat myself. True, only one scheme was found. I am attaching it.

Amused the idea of wood. It turns out that to create, it’s enough to just take the right paint colors.

Of cones

Since they started about natural materials, here are ideas from cones.

If there are a lot of cones, then you can also make a big frost. But, of course, this craft is not for one day.

Another interesting option is from napkins. From afar, they also resemble cones.

Maybe someone likes to fel from wool? Then here is a hack for an example with phased actions.

This drawing was taken as a basis.

We start with the body.

On it we make a pattern of red fabric, leaving room for the head.

We twist and sew it. We put on a body of wool.

Pull the bottom of the thread.

We make a hat, fur and a beard.

From gypsum or salt dough

Now it’s fashionable to do plaster crafts. But for those with kids under five, it’s better to make salt dough.

And you need to make a print of a spread palm, see.

We make a handprint. Dry the material.

Mark the picture.

And we realize it in colors.

We hang the rope in the hole and hang it on the tree.

I share with you my find from the ice cream sticks.

From threads

Have you met the thread pulling technique through carnations? So, who is interested, these freezers can be created.

And with the help of a cone base and yarn, a very simple but interesting craft is made.

 • felt,
 • thermal gun
 • yarn
 • paper cone
 • decor.

First, let's start with such a face made of felt.

We cut out the necessary parts and glue them with hot glue.

Now we need to make a cone out of paper and wrap it with threads to make it like this. Make sure there are no gaps.

The edges need to be well fixed with glue.

Putting the craft together and don't forget about the pens.

From disposable plates

Yes, this improvised material was probably lying in the kitchen for many. Great idea of crafts with kids.

In this workshop, you will need only a portion of the plate. She will fulfill the role of a sled.

Now let's take a step-by-step look at how it's freezing.

Take a plate and cut 1/4 of its part. Inside, where the flat and smooth part is painted in beige.

We take a triangle of red paper and glue a plate on it. It remains only to form eyes, mustaches and pompons.

Look, what a grandfather can get a cool beard from disposable spoons.

And even eyebrows can be made of them.

Of course, there is an idea from plasticine. Everything is shown in detail in the photo instructions.

If suddenly you have a foam sheet at home, then here is what can come of it.

A plastic bottle for water was littered, dress her too.

Well, and another cool option with one plastic spoon, cotton pad and yarn.

We take a spoon, cut off the stalk from it. We wind the edge with a thread. And the convex side is smeared with glue. We turn off the cotton pad. And glue it on a spoon. It remains only to add the missing elements.

How to make crafts from nylon tights, a master class in video

There is a cool idea to create dolls in hosiery. Unfortunately, I’m not a master at this, so I bring a master class in video format.

And here I’ll give an idea from a sock

You can make a body without handles. The main thing is that it is sustainable.

Well, are balls often in your house? After all, wonderful Santas are also made of them.

That is not all. We can say that we are only at the very beginning of the journey!

Patterns for Santa Claus from fabric (tilde)

Now I will give a lot of patterns. There are ideas in the Tilda technique, but there are simply schemes for soft toys.

Scheme 3.

For inspiration!

Scheme 10.

Scheme 11.

Scheme 14.

If the scheme is not saved or downloaded, take a screenshot and edit the picture in Painte. This graphic editor is installed on all operating systems.

Knitted frost and patterns

Now, options for crafts for those craftswomen who knit. I liked such custom frosts. And nothing that not one of them is wearing a red cap, you can’t confuse them anyway.

This collection shows how to connect such handsome men.

Of course, there is a scheme.

The idea is the same, but the crochet pattern here is different.

You can do surround Santa.

Or just cross-stitch it.

Let's talk about embroidery in more detail below. There will be enough circuits.

Video how to make Grandpa from cotton wool

In our childhood, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden were made from cotton wool. If you are bored of those times, then here is a master class. It is presented in video format to discard all possible questions, because the craft is complicated.

Of course, you need to practice a little here, but it is not so simple.

Simple paper crafts

Of course, we will now craft from paper and cardboard. Without it, just nowhere. This is the most accessible material for us. Especially if kids make crafts.

In addition to such frost, you can decorate the windows. For example, on this stencil.

Many different ideas come out of cones. In the photo below you will see a detailed master class on how to create such funny Frosts. This cone pattern can be used for any other crafts.

Well, here's another great idea from cardboard and paper. The main thing is, what a beard that turns out to be gorgeous with 0 rings!

And these grandfathers can even be hung on a Christmas tree. I really liked the idea with a mustache in the form of a bow.

Here are some more cone blanks.

Based on them, such crafts are obtained.

Or you can simplify the task. And make the foundation yourself. The main thing is to fasten the edges of the cone well so that they do not turn around.

Another funny craft and a master class for her.

Now a more complicated idea. This frost is made of two paper balls.

Such balls master in this pattern. By the way, you can do it at the same time.

Those who are familiar with quilling techniques are ideas.

From corrugated paper and sweets you can make an individual gift for each participant of the holiday.

Laughed at this craft. How funny Santa was.

A hat folded in accordion is simply incomparable. Both volume and relief are created immediately.

Another craft with a curly beard.

From cardboard you can create such an interesting frost.

Idea for little kids! Use stencils of your hands for crafts.

This craft can be made from pieces of paper or balls of plasticine.

Hello Santa from Peppa Pig!

Our parents all make and do crafts. And we thank them and take them into service!

Now I will give a few stencils for gift boxes with elements of Santa Claus.

And I almost forgot to show you such suspensions.

You can execute them as a postcard.

We make cotton pads for kindergarten children

Of course, it’s very easy to do crafts from cotton pads. For example, like this frost. You just need to prepare the materials in advance. To have enough for the preparation of each baby. and in kindergarten groups, usually around 30.

Idea for home creativity.

Paper and cotton pads are very easy to glue with PVA glue. Moreover, this is the safest type of glue. It can be used for creativity of even the smallest children.

This option was in the first section, but I decided to remind you.

Santa Claus's beard can be very useful on various morning performances.

Wear a red cap and a red T-shirt and the young Santa Claus is ready. Or Santa Claus.

Santa Claus do it yourself felt

Of course, ! What are they not doing of it! And surely a lot of patterns and patterns. Let's start!

Here is the first master class. This is a Christmas tree toy. You can, of course, play with her anyway, but it’s too painful for her to be unstable.

Pattern for Santa Claus.

These crafts simply amaze with their solidity and presentability.

There can be several patterns for them. For example, this one.

It also turns out such a frost.

For the cap, take this diagram.

The following pattern of suspensions.

Now detailed instructions on how to sew such a boot for gifts.

A very unusual idea. You can use not only felt, but also fabric.

Another template for inspiration.

A lot of wreaths can be made. They are suitable as a decoration for any room.

This frost will not leave anyone indifferent. It can also be used as a suspension, because the cap has a hole convenient for this.
