Children's knitting patterns for boys with descriptions. Knit a sweater for a boy - fashionable models Knitted sweater for a 4 year old boy

How to choose

With the onset of the cold season, it becomes important to buy warm clothes for your child. A sweater for autumn and winter is extremely popular in a boy's wardrobe. Boys wear sweaters everywhere, play in the yard, wear them to school and to clubs. For the baby who attends kindergarten In winter and autumn, the most comfortable form of clothing is a cozy sweater.

There are so many models that it is difficult to choose the right one among the variety of styles. Here useful tips to help you choose:

  1. Buy sweaters of different warmth for autumn and winter - thick ones are suitable for cold weather, and in the fall it is more convenient to wear a less voluminous sweater, made of knitwear or cotton, so that the child is comfortable. Opt for models made from natural fabrics, as well as their mixtures. And keep the percentage of synthetic materials to a minimum.
  2. The first thing you need to pay attention to is how practical the thing is. A smart sweater is no exception. For children, white and light-colored clothes are made with less easily soiled sleeves so that the clothes get dirty less.
  3. Inconveniently located and protruding internal seams cause discomfort to a child with delicate skin. Examine the sweater carefully by turning it inside out.
  4. The purchased model should please the boy and not be “girly” or the wrong color. It’s better to choose together with him, then you can buy something that is exactly the right size, and not tight or too big, so that your child will be happy to wear all the sweaters bought for him.

Beautiful styles

For boys 2, 3, 4 years old

For little boys from two to four years old, it is preferable to wear sweaters with knitted trousers with suspenders or comfortable jeans with high waist. Sweater styles are usually collarless or stand-up, with a fastener at the collar.

Short sweaters, decorated with prints or beautiful inscriptions. For kids, choose applications in the shape of animals and fish, cartoon characters. Warm sweaters are characterized by a combination of two shades of the same color that complement each other.

The color scheme is mostly light; along with white and baked milk, blue and soft green, as well as light purple and gray-lilac shades predominate.

For boys 5, 6, 7, 11 years old

Boys 5-6 years old love to play outdoor games and spend a lot of time with their peers. Only a soft and comfortable sweater can suit a child at this age. Sweaters with hoods and piping, bright colors, decorated with stars and multi-colored stripes. A six-year-old dandy can try to appear in kindergarten for a holiday in a white or yellow sweater made of thin knitwear with a pattern.

Schoolchildren immediately become older, so they choose “serious” models, in which the color scheme is less saturated, and the styles are reminiscent of men’s. The geometric pattern on the sweater and rolled up sleeves, as well as the intricate scarf collar, will make your first grader look stylish.

For boys 11 years old good choice could be a knitted sweater with a zipper pattern, long or reaching to the middle of the chest. The dominant colors in the pattern should match the color of the trousers. In winter, a turtleneck sweater with a neck in noble gray and blue shades. V-knit sweaters with a placket at the chest look impressive.

Stylish models

Raglan

IN classic model Raglan sleeve sweaters are a sloping shoulder line. Sweaters with loose-fitting sleeves and an enlarged armhole. Therefore, it is convenient to play with them and raise your hand up in class. Designers use raglan to create models in which the sleeves differ in color from the rest of the product, which makes this style of sweater very elegant and stylish.

Fake sweater

Sweaters with a neckline, or faux pas, can be replaced school jacket, they are designed to be paired with a beautiful shirt of a similar or contrasting color. The fakes have both a small cutout and a fairly deep clasp. As a rule, the blendes are plain or with edging of a different color.

With braids

The braid pattern is reminiscent of hand-knitted sweaters. This winter season, loose styles, decorated with voluminous braids on the sides and sleeves, are in fashion.

A sweater with braids is plain or has several different threads; for this pattern, choose a beige or gray color scheme. Warm model It can be without a collar or with a smooth knitted collar and a fastener in the form of one or more buttons on the chest. A red scarf around the neck, tied in a knot back, looks beautiful with such a sweater.

To school

The school has a regular uniform, but in the cold season a shirt or sweater is worn under the jacket. For informal events, you can also dress more casually - in a white or black sweater with trousers and shoes. A solid colored fitted sweater looks good with black trousers and patent leather shoes. Thin, elegant sweaters are made from smooth knitwear.

Warm

A warm sweater should not be prickly. Therefore, wool sweaters are usually worn with a cotton shirt, which softens the touch of the clothing on the body. Soft and warm winter sweaters are made from blends of pure wool, angora and mohair, as well as wool with the addition of acrylic and viscose threads.

With an image

Sweaters with patterns are chic and suitable for both babies and older boys. The animals, houses and sea pictures depicted on them are usually white or very light on a darker background.

A bright yellow sweater might have SpongeBob on it, while a bright red one might have SpongeBob on it. funny snowmen and portraits of fabulous reindeer from Santa Claus's team. Christmas sweaters for boys school age not so bright, with a large image of a deer or a Christmas tree.

Current colors and prints

Boys' sweaters continue to trend men's fashion. This also applies to the choice of color, but for children the color shades will be brighter. Red, burgundy, green and brown colors and their combinations.

Beautiful knitted items on small children evoke affection. Tiny blouses, caps, and pants cannot help but delight. But for kids, knitted clothes not only serve an aesthetic function. It is of particular value, since newborns have not yet established independent heat exchange - they really need additional thermal insulation and protection.

Clothes for legs

First of all, the child needs to insulate his legs. They do a great job with this knitted socks and booties. Socks for babies differ from adult models only in size, but booties are the first shoes, they are presented both in the form of shoes, boots, and are a kind of sandals. Booties and booties usually have ties to keep them firmly on the foot; It is not recommended to use Velcro, otherwise it will scratch the skin. Sandals can be worn in the summer, but they act only as decoration and will not protect you from dust and drafts. In summer, socks are safer. Standard sizes of socks and booties range from 8 cm to 13 cm. The size is equal to the length of the baby’s foot. Every 3 months, the leg adds 1 cm, so when calculating, you can also base your calculations on the baby’s age. Foot length is measured from the heel to the tip of the big toe.

Knitted hat - beautiful protection

A child under one year of age has a soft area called the “fontanelle,” and until it heals, it is mandatory to wear a hat, which will protect and insulate the head. Such hats should be seamless and have a minimum of different fasteners - knitted ones are suitable for this role. In our catalog you will find knitting patterns to create beautiful hats of different types:

  • classic hats;
  • caps;
  • hats-helmets.

And perhaps knit something individual for your boy or girl. The size of the cap is determined by the circumference of the head. A small baby’s girth is approximately 35 cm, then every 3 months it increases by an average of 4 cm and by the first year of life it reaches 47 cm. The hat should be knitted so that it can stretch slightly and at the same time not slide down onto the child’s forehead.

Knitted overalls for newborns

Overalls are a practical item in a child's wardrobe; they are easy to put on. There are two main types: overalls-bag and overalls with pants. The first type is convenient for home use, since the lower part can be unfastened and the diaper can be quickly changed, and the second one is mainly relevant for walks.

The size of overalls for newborn girls and boys is calculated based on the circumference of the chest, waist, hips, and height. It must be taken into account that babies grow quickly, and by the time knitted item will be ready, it may turn out to be small.

Accessories and decorations for babies

A one-year-old child does not require separate decorations, since knitted clothes itself is beautiful. Small details can be dangerous - children at this age love to taste everything. The only thing is that you can safely knit a scarf for your baby in addition to the hat and mittens. There is no need to make the scarf long; it is enough to knit it long enough to last one and a half turns.

If you still need to decorate your clothes, you can improvise with piping, tying things with picots or scallops, or adding lace. Such decorations are not suitable for things for boys up to the first year; in this case, it is better to rely on color and texture. For example, on hats for boys, patterns with braids and arans, alternating stripes of garter and purl stitch, will look great.

Choose the right yarn

The yarn must match the season for which the item is being created. For winter clothes Acrylic is suitable - it is warm, does not prick, and can withstand multiple washes. Despite its synthetic origin, it is hypoallergenic. Cashmere and angora are also suitable. Many manufacturers produce lines specifically for newborns - you can safely buy such yarn. Wool and mohair are not suitable for baby's delicate skin; they cause unbearable itching. Summer clothes knitted from cotton yarn, bamboo. You should not use threads with the addition of lurex, sequins, etc. The yarn must match the number of knitting needles.

The simpler the clothes, the more comfortable and safe the baby

Avoid buttons - a child may tear them off and swallow them. The same goes for bells, tassels and other elements. There is no need to make applications - a child under one year of age spends most of his time in a lying position, the bulges can get in the way. In addition, overly decorated items are difficult to wash.

Pay attention to the density of the knit and the pattern

Choose simple patterns to knit an item faster. Do not knit the garment too tightly, otherwise it will pinch. Also, if you knit tightly, you risk getting a smaller size.

Knit items according to the current sizes of the baby

Tying for growth doesn’t always mean doing better. You can't knit hats bigger size- they will slip and not protect the head. A child can drown in overalls, and babies react sharply to inconvenience. If the item still turns out bigger, put it aside until the baby grows up and knit something else.
