Right edge: edge, knit 1, knit 2 stitches together.

Left edge: slip 1 loop, as in knitting, 1 knit, pull the removed loop through it, 1 knit, edge.

Extended rows

Start with middle stitches. The remaining loops on both sides remain unknitted. Turn the work using a yarn over. In each next row, knit on a given number of loops until all the loops are taken to work again. If you encounter yarn overs, knit them together with the next loop to prevent holes from forming.

Completing of the work

Back

Using knitting needles No. 4, cast on 100 (108) 116 (124) loops with undyed thread and knit 1 cm stockinette stitch, then roll the edge evenly.

Next, knit in stockinette stitch, distributing colors according to the instructions given above for the front/back, while performing extended rows as follows: tie a new thread, start with the middle 40 (48) 56 (64) stitches with pink thread.

In every 2nd row on both sides, knit 10 x 3 stitches more until all 100 (108) 116 (124) stitches are used again.

After 37 cm from the edge with a roll (measure on the side) or after 44 cm from the edge with a roll (measure in the middle), close on both sides for raglan bevels 1 (4) 6 (9) sts and in each 2nd row, further decrease 28 ( 29) 31 (32) x 1 p. = 42 p.

After 65 (66/67) 68 cm from the edge (measure in the middle), close the loops.

Before

Knit in the same way as the back, but for the neck, 31 (32/33) 34 cm from the bottom edge, close the middle 4 stitches and finish both sides separately.

After 25 cm from the beginning of the cut, close along the inner edge 1 x 9 p., 1 x 3 p., 1 x 2 p. and 5 x 1 p.

Total length 65 (66/67) 68 cm from the bottom edge (measure along the middle line).

Sleeves

Using needles No. 4, cast on 64 (64/68) 68 stitches with undyed thread and knit 1 cm in stockinette stitch for the placket.

For a bevel, add 4 x 1 p. on both sides in every 16th row (in every 10th row 4 x 1 p. and in every 8th row another 4 x 1 p. / in every 8th row 10 x 1 p.) in every 6th row 10 x 1 p. and in every 4th row another 4 x 1 p. = 72 (80/88) 96 p.

For the raglan bevel, 31 cm from the bottom edge on both sides, close 1 (4/6) 9 sts and in every 2nd p. underlined decrease 28 (29/31) 32 x 1 p.

After 51 (52/53) 54 cm from the beginning row, bind off 14 sts.

Assembly

Lightly moisten the parts, stretch according to the pattern and leave until completely dry.

Sew raglan seams side seams and sleeve seams with mattress stitch.

For the placket, using undyed thread, cast on 57 loops on both edges of the cut on needles No. 4 and knit 2 cm with an elastic band, while on the right placket make 6 holes for buttons as follows: knit 3 loops, * knit 2 loops together, 1 yarn over, 8 loops , from * repeat 5 times, knit 2 loops together, 1 yarn over, 2 knit stitches.

For the neckline, using undyed thread, cast on 106 stitches along the inner edge of the neckline using needles No. 4 and knit 1 cm in stockinette stitch.

A pullover with a polo collar and polo clasp is a popular item. Originally, the polo collar was intended for sports shirts and pullovers. The length of the cut for the fastener can be different lengths. If the cut is made without a fastener in the form of straps, then we simply divide the front fabric into two halves and tie it up, then we make a neckline.

Its origin is connected with the sport of the same name - polo (ball game). The cut (length of the fastener) can be of different lengths, the neckline can be with or without a collar, the fastener strap is made in the form of a slot with the straps overlapping each other (overlapping), the straps of the right and left half of the front can touch each other end-to-end without overlapping, with lacing, the neckline can be made on the back, have a “droplet” shape, tied with a narrow strip, trim, cord, roll, etc.

A) an example of a longitudinal polo fastener, seamlessly knitted with flanges. Made with elastic, garter stitch, rice or boucle stitch (without hems).
Let's assume that with a front part width of 48 cm, the knitting density is 1.5 loops per 1 cm. We cast on 74 loops (72 + 2 edge loops) and knit to the place where the fastener begins. Plank width = 6p. In the front row we divide the work into two parts - 37 stitches each. Then 37+3=40p - one part; 37-3= 34 - second part. Having knitted 34 loops of the second part, towards the cutout for the strap you need to pick up 6 loops either from a new ball, or pick up 6 half-loops from the longitudinal row with a knitting needle behind the beginning of the right strap. Thus, for the second part of the front we will also have 40 loops, just like the first part. When knitting the parts, we knit these 6 loops from the middle front of both parts with an elastic band or other double-sided knitting. They form the strips of the polo fastener. Along its midline we make holes for buttons on the left or right side. First perform the front plank (in women's pullovers right, for men - left). Finish both halves of the front at the neckline level, then finish the neckline and shoulder bevels.

b) an example of a transverse polo fastener.
Method 1: knit the planks separately. We mark on the pattern the desired depth of the fastener and at this point we divide the work in half, closing in the middle the number of loops that corresponds to the width of the fabric of 2 - 4.5 cm. When the front part is ready, we knit strips for the fastener with an elastic band, and on the right strip exactly along in the middle line we make holes for the buttons so that the first and last holes are located at a distance of 1.5 cm to the edges. For men's products, we make buttonholes on the left placket. We sew the open loops of the strips to the long sides of the cut on the front part, put the right strip on the left (or vice versa) and sew their short sections, at the same time sewing them to the short side of the cut. This fastener is matched with a small turn-down collar. We knit it with the same stitch as the straps, for which we cast on loops along the edge of the neckline or knit separately and sew (pin) from the middle of the left strap to the middle of the right one. It is this distance that is the guideline for casting loops for it.
Method 2 - a set of hinges for strips of shelf fabric

C) the straps for the fastener, both longitudinal and seamless, can be made double, with a hem:

D) an example of a polo fastener with end-to-end straps and lacing.
Having knitted the front (shelf) to the selected height of the beginning of the fastener, we divide the front into two halves, we do not knit the middle loops (here - columns) by the expected width of the strips (2-3cm), we knit both halves of the front separately to the height of the polo neckline and make a round neck:

Then we tie a strip along the polo cutout on one side and the other, tying (sewing) the lower narrow sides of the strips to the beginning of the cutout with single crochets, tie it in a crawfish step and thread the lace:

D) the “polo” cut can be made without strips, under the “zipper”
