Knitted coasters for plates. Crochet coasters for hot chamomile

Hello.

Today I’ll tell you how to crochet a hot stand. I ended up with a set of 6 square napkins.

These napkins will decorate festive table and protect it from stains and scratches. And also, as my 14-year-old daughter says, it will become atmospheric with them)))

Because I wanted to knit something that was not thin openwork napkins, and coasters for hot dishes, cups, glasses, etc., then I chose fairly thick threads. This is Turkish yarn LILY (mercerized cotton 100%, weight 50 g, thread length - 125 m). Knitted with crochet number 2.5.

The size of the hot tray is 18 x 18 cm.

How to crochet a hot stand

So, step-by-step photo master class: how to crochet a hot stand.

  1. At the beginning of each row we knit lifting loops
  2. at the end of the row - a connecting post (connecting post)
  3. In addition to the usual loops and stitches with 1 and 2 crochets, we will knit crossing stitches with 5 crochets ( detailed description from photo below)
  4. The number of double crochets in the last row may not correspond to that indicated in the diagram
  • 5th row: 2 VP rise, 5 treble crochets in the arch of 4 VPs, 1 treble crochet stitch at the top of 4 treble crochet stitches. Next we knit a chain of 11 VPs. We turn the work, knit the connection st. under the second VP of the rise (hereinafter - under the st.b/n above the top of the 4 st.s.2n). We do 2 VP lifts, we turn our future one again and tie the arch of 11 VP with the 18th st.b/n. We knit 12 single stitches, tying a large circle, make a chain of 11 VPs and repeat the steps described above. The result is a large circle and 8 semicircles.
  • Row 6: we tie these arches, forming 4 corners for the square with a crochet hook. We start with 3 VP rises, then knit *2 VP, 1 treble s/n* 8 times. Let's move on to the next arch. *1 treble s/n, 2 VP* 4 times, 1 treble s/n, 10 VP, We turn the work, knit a connecting stitch, make 2 VP lifts, turn the napkin again and tie the corner “loop” of 10 VP with the 18th st.b/n. Then connection art. at the base of the “loop”, * 2 VP, 1 treble s/n * 4 times. We repeat all the above steps 3 more times.
  • 7th row: alternate 1 st.b/n and 4 VP. (see crochet square diagram above). It turned out beautiful already)))
  • Row 8: first you need to use connecting columns to “get” to the 3rd arch. If you are knitting multi-colored square napkins, then start this row from the top center arch, as shown in the diagram. 3 VP lifts, then 3 VP, 1 st.b/n, 3 VP, 1 st.s/n, 2 VP,
  • further ATTENTION! We knit the “letter Z”: make 5 yarn overs on the hook, insert the hook through 1 arch, knit 2 yarn overs, We make 1 yarn over, 1 unknitted treble crochet through 1 arch, we make 2 yarn overs, we knit 1 untied treble stitch through 1 more arch. There are 3 yarn overs and 3 uncrocheted stitches on the hook. We grab the thread, pull it through 3 of these columns, and then knit 3 yarn overs. Next we knit 2 VP and treble s2n into the common top of three columns, 2 more VP and treble s3n there. The result is the “letter Z”)))
  • Next, we alternate the columns and VP again, according to the diagram. We already have a square:
  • Row 9: It remains to tie it with double crochets. By the way, I have fewer of these columns than provided for in the diagram (otherwise the edges of the square would become wavy).

Knitted items for the kitchen - coasters, potholders, napkins will create comfort and decorate the house, and these are also practical things. Hot stand - knitted flower will always be on hand work surface table and its decoration.

You can use leftover multi-colored yarn to knit potholders. The main detail of the stand is the “mill” motif, crocheted according to the diagram below.

Make the only change to the knitting motif - knit the last row with the segments rounded. To do this, instead of 19 st s/n * knit from the arch - st b/n, half st., st s/n, now along the previous row of columns - st s/n, 11 st s/2n, 2 st s/n, half st ., st. b/n, air. loops. Repeat from * 5 more times.

We convert the knitted “mill” motif with rounded segments into a flower by tying each segment along the edge. For tying, choose yarn in a contrasting color.

Do the tying of the petal segments along the wrong side of the motif, so that on the front part the petals are wrapped in a spiral counterclockwise. Attach the thread at the beginning of the segment, make 3 chain lifting loops and, inserting the hook behind the outermost column, knit 3 treble stitches along each row.

Along the top of the segment, knit 3 treble stitches from one loop through 2. Having finished tying one petal, fasten and cut the thread.

Tie all the segments of the motif, each time joining the thread at the center, and you will get large flower petals twisted into a spiral.

Sew a knitted flower onto the center of the stand. You can choose a pattern for knitting a flower.

Hot coasters are an example of affordable little things that will add unique comfort and create a warm atmosphere in your kitchen. Working on them does not require any special skills and is accessible to beginners. In addition, the coasters are knitted quickly; you can use leftover yarn for them. The article discusses various options for a stand for hot crochet with and without patterns, when for knitting a simple description and photo is enough.

Square hot stand

Size: 16cm by 16cm.

We will need:

  • yarn containing 92% acrylic, 8% polyester, 65g per 220m - 65g;
  • yarn containing 44% cotton, 35% polyacrylic, 21% polyamide, 50g per 90m - 50g;

Today many people knit or crochet. And every craftswoman invariably has leftovers of beautiful yarn, from which you can knit a lot of convenient and practical things to decorate your home.

For example, simple coasters for hot crochet, the patterns and production of which are accessible even to beginner knitters.

Knitted coasters based on a circle are very simple to make. But if you decorate them with a variety of knitted elements, you can end up with a very original and modern design. practical decorations for the table. The simplest option is an apple-shaped stand.

For it you will need:

  • yarn about 80 g, main color,
  • 30 g of contrasting color for knitting a petal,
  • hook of the appropriate size, No. 3 or 3.5.

Description of crocheting a hot stand in the shape of an apple:

Using yarn of the main color, knit a ring of 4 air loops. Next knit in a circle st. b/n, guided by diagram A, to the desired size.

Using yarn of a contrasting color according to pattern B, knit one or two leaves. Using brown yarn, knit a stem using chain stitches. Then assemble all the parts and sew them to the apple.

You can crochet a hot stand in the shape of a pear.

Description of work:

Knit a circle according to pattern A. Without breaking the thread, turn the work, knit 5 non-woven stitches, turn the work again and knit 5 rows in this way. Then tie the pear around the edge with non-woven stitches, decorate with leaves knitted according to pattern B.

Based on the circle, a bright and easy-to-make hot pot stand is crocheted in the shape of a flower. This is done like this: knit a circle according to pattern A, tie it with petals with a thread of a contrasting color: five double crochets, two double crochets, etc. until the end of the row.

A very practical do-it-yourself hot stand is made using the double-sided knitting technique.

The double-sided fabric is very thick, knitted without a backing, so the stand can be used on both sides.

Stand size 16x16 cm. Required: medium-thick green and orange yarn, about 80 g, hook No. 3.

  1. Using an orange thread, cast on a chain of chain stitches 16 cm long. Knit the first row with single stitches, the last st. knit with green thread. Turn knitting.
  2. Insert the hook under the two outer walls of the st. b/n (top and bottom) of the previous row. It is important that the upper and lower walls, which are tacked, are positioned strictly in front of each other, then the canvas will not move.
  3. Pull out the green thread and tie a single stitch. Work like this until the end of the row.
  4. Turn the knitting over and knit the next row in non-woven stitches with green yarn, insert the hook under the inner wall of the non-woven stitches of the previous row. Work like this until the end of the row.
  5. Knit the outermost column with orange thread.
  6. Knit single stitches with orange yarn. Insert the hook under the inner walls of the columns of orange yarn and the columns of the row of green yarn. The walls of the posts that are tacked must be positioned strictly in front of each other so that the canvas does not move. Knit to the end of the row.
  7. Turn the fabric, knit stitches with orange yarn to the end of the row, insert the hook under the inner wall of the posts of the previous row. Knit the last stitch with green thread. Continue knitting by analogy.
  8. Knit a 16x16 cm square. Tie the green side of the stand with orange yarn, and the orange side with green yarn as follows: *screw stitch, skip 2 warp loops, 5 b/n stitches in one warp loop, skip 2 warp loops *, repeat from to *. Knit the corners of the stand in 7 stitches instead of five.

This stand can be knitted in different colors: yellow-blue, pink-violet, black and white, etc.
