Vest for the boy a school pattern. Building a pattern of vests for boys: the easiest way

In the design of the vest for the girl, it was developed by the numerous requests of readers especially for young schoolgirls. We publish the developed pattern for size 32, but using this technology it is very simple to simulate a vest for any size.

Building a basic pattern

To build a pattern you need

in our case, we use a model with the following measurements:

 • Back to waist length - 28 cm
 • The length of the back to the hips is about 38 cm
 • Shoulder length - 10 cm
 • Half neck circumference - 14 cm
 • Bust - 32 cm
 • Half Waist - 30 cm
 • Armhole depth - 16.5 cm ()

Meshing

When constructing the patterns, the basis of the vest, we will use the measurements that we took. From point A, lay down the length to the hips by measurement, to the right - 1/2 of the chest circumference of +3 cm to the freedom of fitting - point A1. From point A down, set aside the length of the back to the waist, draw a horizontal line of the waist.

From point A down, set aside the depth of the armhole, draw a horizontal line of the armhole. Divide AA1 in half and draw a vertical line from the division point (point G2) up and down.

Armhole width. The width of the armhole is calculated according to the formula: 1/4 of the half-circumference of the chest according to the measure plus 1 cm for all sizes = 32/4 + 1 = 9 cm. Set aside 4.5 cm to the right and left of point G2 - points G and G1 are obtained. From these points raise the perpendiculars - points P and P1 are obtained.

Neckline of the back. From point A to the right, set aside 5.2 cm (1/3 of the half-circumference of the neck by the measure +0.5 cm) = 14/3 + 0.5 = 5.2 cm. Put aside 1.5 cm for all sizes up. Draw a neckline for the back of the neckline.

Shoulder line. Set aside 1.5 cm from point P down, draw a shoulder line along this point along the measured length.

Cutout armhole back. Divide the GHG into 3 equal parts, draw a line of the armhole along the pattern as shown in Fig. 1.

Neckline in front. Set aside 2cm from point A1 — lift the shelf. From point 2, down and to the left, put off 5.2 cm (1/3 of the half-circumference of the neck by the measure +0.5 cm) = 14/3 + 0.5 = 5.2 cm. Draw a neckline on the front of the pattern.

The shoulder tilt is forward. From point P1 down lay 1cm. Through point 1, draw the front shoulder line in length.

Cutout armhole front. Divide П1Г1 in half, draw the armhole line along the piece as shown in Fig. 1.

The side line of the vest. On the waist line to the right and left to postpone 1.5 cm - lateral tucks. Draw new lines: the front and back.

IMPORTANT! Check the waist circumference according to the drawing and measure. The waist circumference according to the drawing should be 1-2 cm larger.

Modeling the vest

Modeling the style of the vest for the girl is given in Fig. 2. Pattern vest for girls - modeling. If the difference between the chest and waist is insignificant, do not make tucks in the raised seam (!).

We suggest you sew this classic vest for a boy who will become an excellent combi partner for trousers and a white shirt, and will be able to easily replace his jacket in early autumn, when it is still very warm. The pattern of a vest for the boy is modeled on the pattern-based shirt

Fig. 1. Pattern vest for the boy

Pattern vest for a boy: modeling

Before proceeding to modeling a vest pattern for a boy, it is necessary to take several additional measures:

Vest length on the side (measured from the armhole to the desired length of the vest on the side)

Vest cut in front (measured from the hollow between the collarbones to the desired cut depth)

Pattern vest for a boy: job description

From the neckline of the front and back on the shoulder, put aside 2 cm. The length of the shoulder vest is 6cm. I will go a little deeper 1.5 cm down from the point G4. From the neckline in the middle of the front line, lay down the measurement - vest cutout in front.

On the pattern to draw new cut-outs of the armhole of the front and back. Neckline of the back.

From the new line of the armhole, lay down the length of the vest by measurement. Draw a horizontal line. Give an increase in approach to the fastener of 1.5 cm. Draw a horizontal line.

On the pattern to build a neckline vest in front.

Dividing the width of the back and the width of the front in half along the waist line, draw tucks 3 cm long below the armhole level and 1.5 cm deep.

Divide the front of the vest in half and extend the line to the armhole along the pattern from the top of the tuck as shown in Fig. 1, modeling the relief.

Side line. Set aside from the waistline on the side to the right and left 1.5 cm. Draw new side lines on the pattern.

Draw a bottom line in front of the vest with a corner, deviating from the tuck to the right about 2 cm and laying down 4-5 cm down.

In addition, re-trim the backboard and edge trim as shown in Fig. 1. Pattern vest for the boy.

Pay attention: A drawstring under the elastic band is laid on the back of the vest for a better fit.

IMPORTANT! After the completion of the simulation, it is necessary to control the waist circumference according to the pattern - it should be equal to the waist circumference by the measurement + an increase of about 2 cm for freedom of fitting. If the measured value is less, it is necessary to reduce the depth of the tucks.

And here is what I got from the second “camouflage” raincoat fabric - a warm vest for warm autumn days. From a similar raincoat fabric in "protective" colors I sewed. I was convinced once again that the welt pockets for a child are an excellent choice - there are places to put the pens in, and there is a lot of space for “all kinds of important things,” as our son says.

The fabric for the vest is raincoat fabric (for a size of 110 I had enough 60 cm with a width of 140 cm), for the lining - fleece. If you want, you can put a heater, but I sewed without it.

I also needed:

- detachable zipper 50 cm,

- hat thick elastic (40 cm),

- clamp

- reflective tape for finishing pockets.

I bring the pattern to a height of 110, it can simply be printed on A4 sheets (do not forget to set the A4 format when printing and check the cell size - 1 cm), or draw it yourself, based on the cell size 1x1 cm.

Details of the pattern of an autumn children's jacket for size 110:

1. Front shelf - 2 parts + 2 parts

2. Back - 1 part with a bend + 1 part with a bend

3. Hood - 2 parts + 2 parts

5. Internal pocket burlap - 2 parts

6. Outer pocket burlap - 2 parts

7. Leaflet - 2 parts

Let's start sewing with pockets.

The location of the pocket (according to the pattern) is transferred to the front shelves. Fold the leaflet in half with the front sides inward, grind the side edges. We twist and pin the leaf to the edge of the entrance to the pocket closest to the center of the front from the front of the front. Stitch (finish the line strictly at the ends of the entrance to the pocket).

We pin the outer burlap to the leaflet, we combine the front sides and grind along the line of the previously completed stitch. We pin the inner burlap of the pocket to the other edge of the entrance to the pocket, we combine and grind the front sides.

We cut the pocket entrance from the wrong side. We observe the labels. Please note that the corners of the pocket entrance are cut diagonally to the guide stitches.

Turn the pocket inside out. We stitch the triangles formed at each end of the pocket entrance to the inner burlap of the pocket and the leaflet.

 Stitch both burlap pockets.

On the front side, we trim the lateral edges of the leaflet. I scribbled small strips of reflective tape onto the top and bottom edges of the leaflet. Here I have got such a welt pocket with a leaflet.

And this is for those who want to see. Maybe it will be even more clear)))

Then we sew a hood. Stitch undercut. I did it with a finishing line. Folding the edges of the joint in the joint. Then we grind the details of the main and lining fabric, folding them with the front sides.

I did not have any flaps for inserting the drawstring into the edge of the hood, I did not want to run to the store))) I decided to do it as follows. I cut a small rectangle from the main fabric, stitched the edges, pinned it to the middle of the hood (at the seam). I made holes on the sides so that you could insert a drawstring (hat elastic) and scribbled a rectangle on the hood. I think the photographs are clear. Here is such an alternative to blocks)))

Stitch the hat gum to the edge of the hood at an equal distance. We put a clamp on the elastic. Fold the main part of the hood and lining with the front sides and grind along the edge. We turn out.

We build up the hood on the front side along the edge where the elastic passes, so that the hood can be pulled back. From the scraps of the main fabric we make a loop-hanger. I take a strip of fabric with a width of no more than 2 cm, tuck the edges and trim them either with a finishing stitch or with a zig-zag stitch.

Stitch shoulder seams. Stitch the hood to the main part.

We put a lining in the main part of the vest. We sew the lining in the hood area, do not forget to put a loop in the middle.

Now we sew in the zipper. I put a loop of hat gum into the “dog” of the zipper, tie it in a knot, this is the convenience of fastening the zipper to the child himself. First, I catch the zipper to the main part, then I catch the lining and sew on the front side.

The bottom of the vest. First we sweep the main and lining fabrics together, and then we trim along the front side.

Fashion is the prerogative of women, accompanied by shoes, ribbons, skirts, handbags and more. Men can only take it for granted. Nevertheless, every woman believes that a man should always be dressed with taste.

The attribute of a respectable man is a business suit. However, a man’s vest occupies an equally important place. Today they are again experiencing another peak of popularity. It is no coincidence that leading fashion designers added them to the latest collections, making them an integral element of men's wardrobe.

Given the requirements, the vest must perfectly fit on any figure, so it has a rather complicated design. Simplification of the model leads to excessive folds, an inflated silhouette, unfastened buttons.

In its classic form, a men's vest, being an integral part of a business three-piece suit, should cover the belt of trousers. Being narrow enough at the waist, do not constrain freedom of movement and, of course, is sewn from the same fabric as the trousers. Therefore, when wearing, an important role will be played by the correct choice of size. After all, if a loose fit is permissible for trousers or a jacket, then the vest should be perfectly fitted in shape: somewhat loose along the chest line and tight-fitting waist.

However, when wearing a vest separately from the suit, it can have a variety of deviations from its classic version. These are warmed models with leather and fur inserts, and puffy, and quilted and leather of all kinds of colors. Puffy, as well as leather ones, or those dressed on a naked body are far from the concept of elegance, but with the right selection of accessories and other items of clothing that correspond to the chosen style, they can create a kind of image of the owner. Thanks to this, a men's vest is a worthy choice of extraordinary personalities, making it a key element of the image.

In combination with a suit, a vest is inherent in style and functionality, and when worn on a naked body - sexuality and originality. When choosing a model you like, feel free to experiment with it, while remaining courageous and fashionable.

With what and when to wear a men's vest

Through the efforts of designers, today men have a wide variety of vests, both in style and texture. This - and jackets, and blouses, and cardigans, and all kinds of fur, leather, knitted vests. The list goes on and on. In this regard, for lunches and business meetings, models from cashmere or suit fabric in plain colors are recommended. Going to a social party, put on a satin silk vest. Denim, knitwear and jacquard are perfect for fans to surprise and experiment.

Due to its functionality, the vest is such a unique element of clothing that it goes well with both a shirt, a T-shirt, and a suit. And those who believe that you can wear it only with a single-breasted jacket with buttons are very wrong.

How to sew a vest for a child warm on a synthetic winterizer? An insulated quilted vest is a terrific thing in every wardrobe. Sewing a baby vest with your own hands is very simple and quick. My master class will help you sew a puffy vest for a boy with welt pockets in an understandable and affordable way.

As you remember from the previous article, I talked about where I used unspent material from and. From the fleece I sewed a warm jacket, and from the jacket fabric and insulation I decided to sew a children's insulated vest or, in a different way, a quilted vest.

The vest will be on a synthetic winterizer for the boy of my nephew, but you can sew the vest on your child. How to sew a vest with your own hands without unnecessary trouble, see below in my master class.

You will need:

 1. The main fabric is the length of the vest + 10.0 - 15.0 cm.
 2. Lining fabric - vest length + 10.0 - 15.0 cm.
 3. Heater (synthetic winterizer) - vest length + 10.0 - 15.0 cm.
 4. Long zipper - 1 pc.
 5. Elastic thread - 1 pc.
 6. Narrow elastic band - 1.5 - 2.0 m.
 7. Threads in fabric color - 1 pc.
 8. Sewing supplies

How to sew a children's quilted vest?

In this article, I will not tell you in detail how to cut a children's vest, I will only outline the essence. The vest pattern on a synthetic winterizer represents a shelf and a back from any pattern of a shoulder product. Therefore, as a pattern, you can easily use a pattern of the appropriate size.

If you are new and there are no patterns in your arsenal, then you can simply remove it from a suitable product. How to do this, see in my video tutorial,. How to properly cut a vest and make a layout of patterns on fabric, I already wrote about this in a previous article.

After cutting, you should get 3 parts of the back and shelves from the main fabric, insulation and lining. All parts must be identical to each other.

Seam allowances for cutting:

 • Shoulder, lateral, edge of the sides - 1.0 cm.;
 • The neck and armholes - 0.5 - 0.7 cm.;
 • Bottom - 5.0 - 6.0 cm.

Recommendation! When choosing a pattern for a quilted vest, consider the size of the pattern in relation to the future product. The insulated vest is the upper part of the clothes and is worn on warm sweaters and sweaters. Therefore, the size of the pattern should be larger than the size of the child (about 1 size), in addition, consider the teenage child.

Sewing a vest

Pocket processing

After the cut details are received, you need to process the pockets on the shelves. For convenience, pockets are machined to the connection of all parts, including insulation. As pockets on a vest, I chose a welt pocket in a frame with a leaflet. You will find how to process such a pocket in my master class.

Connection of parts with insulation

On the shelves of the insulation (in the place where the pockets are located), make slots for burlap and put them through the received slots.

According to the model, horizontal stitches are provided on the children's vest, which give the product a blown look, and also fasten the insulation and the upper part. To do this, mark the lines on which the lines will go on the back and shelf parts with chalk. The wider the distance between the lines, the larger the vest will be, the smaller the distance, the less significant the volume. Also take into account the coincidence of the lines along the side seams on the shelves and the back.

Fasten the parts of the insulation with the details of the top with tailor pins, and lay the lines along the marked lines. To give stitching to the stitching, and for the volume of the product, wind an elastic band on the bobbin, which, when sewing, will tighten the seams.

After joining the parts, carefully cut off all excess insulation at the edges.

Shoulder joint

Stitch the shoulder seams and iron. Many sources write that it is impossible to iron seams in such products, but I will say from my own experience that a light touch of the iron through an iron with a small amount of steam will improve the aesthetic appearance of the product. Just be careful, you should not touch the insulation with an iron, since the fibers will melt, as well as lose its airiness.

Osnovora

After fitting, the vest is laid out on a flat surface and changes along unlabeled lines are made. Sometimes, this is a deepening of the armhole and neckline; clarification of the volume at the side seams or a change in length.

Collar neck processing

Making Collar Rack

In this version of a children's vest, a model without a hood on the stand collar is presented. Therefore, you first need to make a collar. To do this, measure the neck circumference and cut a rectangle on the fabric equal in length to the neck circumference, and in width = width of the stand in finished form + allowance of 0.7 cm and multiplied by 2. The width of the stand can be taken from 5.0 to 6.0 cm. (depends on the size of the child).

From the insulation, cut out the part = half the width of the rack, and the length = the length of the collar.

Connect the insulation part with the collar on the wrong side.

Align the center of the collar (where the insulation is) with the center on the back, align the sections and pin the collar and neck with pins. Sweep and stitch the collar in the neck.

Found unfamiliar words, then refer to and.

Sewing Lightning

Sweep and stitch the zipper into the vest, see how to do it in my master class. When connecting the zipper to the product, step back from the bottom to the width of the allowance and start pinning the zipper from the bottom up to the middle of the stand collar.

When zipper fastening, all horizontal seams and stitches should be joined.

Lining Processing

Stitch and iron on the back of the shoulder seams of the pad. Stitch a narrow elastic band over the armholes (on the wrong side with a zigzag in tension), deviating from the cuts of 2.0 - 2.5 cm. Before starting work, measure the length of the elastic band, it should be slightly less than the length of the armhole.

Pad top connection

Fold the lining and the main product with the sides facing each other. Secure with pins on the shoulder seams so that the seams match. Stitch the lining and the top of the vest over the armholes.

Stitching side seams

Connect the armhole in a closed line and secure with a pin along the side seam. Stitch the side seams, starting from the bottom of the product, through the armhole, passing into the side seam on the lining and ending at the bottom of the lining.

Then connect the throat of the pad to the free cut of the collar.

Bottom processing

Stitch a narrow elastic band at the bottom of the waistcoat, stepping back from a cut of 2.0 - 2.5 cm, the length of the elastic should be slightly less.

Stitch the lining and the main product on the bottom, but before connecting, reduce the length of the pad by 5.0 - 6.0 cm so that it does not peel when worn.

Board Processing

Connect the lining with the product along the sides on the shelves, while turning the ends of the collar and the bottom to the width of the allowance.

Make a small hole (10.0 - 15.0 cm.), Supporting the side seam and turn the vest on the front side.

Sweep the hem along the zipper and lay the finishing stitches.

Securing the collar

Align the seams connecting the collar to the lining and the collar to the product. Sweep them, and then fasten the seam with the sewing stitch in the seam.

Final finish

Remove all temporary threads, stitch the hole in the side seam with hidden stitches and sew a hanger in the form of a label to the neck. Fasten the armholes along the shoulder and side seams by placing the seam braces in the seam.
