Easter eggs are a thing so powerful in energy that people never tire of creating monuments to it and building museums. It is believed that the largest man-made Easter egg “lives” in Canada, in the city of Vegreville - its weight reaches 2 tons, it is almost 8 m long. But in Russia in 2010, an egg was made from ice, and it weighed 880 kg!

It is believed that a souvenir bought in a local store protects the house from misfortunes and troubles. In general, it has long been customary to keep Easter eggs at home throughout the year - they protected the home from misfortunes, fires, floods, winds, snows and other troubles.

4. Easter tree with live branches

They say another good sign for Easter is to have guests in your home. In the old days, it was customary for women to stay at home (in order to enrich the hearth with visits from travelers, random passers-by and, of course, relatives and friends), while men, on the contrary, visited relatives and friends in order to provide them with guests and thereby give them well-being.

Easter is the most awaited holiday for all believers and especially magical for children. One tradition came to us from Europe, which many people liked - decorating and creating an Easter tree. The tradition of decorating such a tree originally came from Germany. Decorating the Easter tree is the same event as decorating the New Year tree at Christmas and New Year. If you live in a private yard, then you can decorate a tree in the garden, decorating it with eggs, toys, but in the apartment there is no such opportunity, so in the apartment it would be better to make an Easter tree with your own hands, or it will be a topiary, or some other composition on Easter theme.

It will be even more joyful to make such a tree with your own hands. Decorating and creating an Easter tree can be a good time family tradition, which will give even greater significance to the upcoming holiday. Children really enjoy working on creating such trees. Children love to do creative work with their parents, it unites and brings them closer together.

Stages of creating a tree

So, Easter is coming and we need to make our Easter tree. But first we need to prepare the materials necessary for this. When the materials are ready, we will begin our master class.

We will need the following materials:

  • a vase or container that fits;
  • salt, water or pebbles for fixing branches;
  • 5-6 branches to taste (if you want the branches to be white, you can paint them with white acrylic paints);
  • raw chicken eggs (quantity depends on desire), you can take quail eggs;
  • toothpick and thin needle;
  • container for yolk and white;
  • paints and brush;
  • PVA glue;
  • glitter;
  • egg stickers;
  • food coloring;
  • beautiful ropes or ribbons;
  • napkins for decoupage;
  • white acrylic paints.

After all the materials are prepared, you can start creating.

The prepared twigs need to be placed in a vase. Cherry twigs work well for these purposes, although if you like twigs from other trees, that would be great too. Then we will hang the already made and decorated eggs on the branches. The length of the branches, their number, appearance- everything will depend on your taste. Some people like branches of natural color, while others like them to be white. If you like white twigs, but need to take white acrylic paint and paint our branches. The paint will dry fairly quickly while we decorate and prepare the eggs.

Already dry twigs need to be placed in a vase and covered with salt. Salt will prevent the branches from wobbling, and the entire structure will be more stable. You can fill it with stones, such as pebbles, or other filler: rice, cereal; in extreme cases, you can pour water into the vase.

Example photo:

Wash the eggs thoroughly with soap and running water. Using a needle, carefully make 1 hole on both sides. Using a toothpick, pierce the yolk and bring the egg to your lips. Blow the contents of the egg into the hole on one side into a previously prepared container.

On a note! In this case, the yolk and white can not be thrown away, but can be used in the kitchen for cooking.

Now the egg shells need to be washed again with soap and allowed to dry. We often use wipes and a hairdryer for faster results. This makes the eggs dry faster.

After thoroughly drying our eggs, take satin ribbon and cut a small piece, about 25 cm. Fold it in half and tie a knot at the end. Now let's pass a folded ribbon with a knot at the end through the bottom hole, helping to thread the ribbon with a toothpick. We push the tape through the egg; the knot will prevent the tape from slipping out and will remain inside the shell.

Now let's start decorating our eggs, here you can give free rein to all your imagination, because we all have different tastes. Below you can see several ideas to choose from.

Take an egg and a brush. Apply PVA glue to the egg using a brush. Then apply glitter to the fresh glue. You can combine sparkles different colors, you can apply the glue in a pattern and the glitter will also lie patterned on the egg.

When using napkins for decoupage, you should separate the fragment from the backing and place it on an egg coated with glue, coat the top of the napkin with glue and leave to dry.

Using stickers for decoration, you can get original patterns.

You can decorate with food paints, diversify all the eggs, or do everything in one color. Dilute food coloring according to instructions and dip into the liquid.

The longer the egg is in the liquid with the dye, the more intense and rich the color will be.

A tree for Easter is a symbol of new life

Initially, the tradition of preparing for Easter by decorating trees appeared in Germany. In this country the Easter tree is called Osterbaum. Since Easter is celebrated earlier in Catholic countries than in Orthodox countries, it is not surprising that the ritual of decorating trees originated here. By decorating young branches with colorful ribbons and hanging painted eggs on them, people helped spring quickly overcome the winter cold and frost. Later, the Easter tree gained popularity in other Western countries, becoming a symbol of the resurrection of Christ. And even now, a lush bouquet of branches, decorated with Easter attributes, can be seen in the hands of priests who lead the festive religious procession.

Experts say the Easter tree's historical roots extend beyond Western countries to Ancient Rus'. It turns out that many centuries ago in Rus' there was interesting custom, according to which in Palm Sunday A sleigh with a willow tree was supposed to drive along the central streets of all cities and villages. The tree was installed near the largest church, after which everyone came to it to lay a decorated egg under the willow, thereby glorifying the resurrection of Christ.
