Due to the lack of physical activity, the mark on the scales is rapidly growing. Coping with this in the heat of work or in the early days of the transition to working from home is often difficult. However, there are several universal tips that will help solve the problem. How can a freelancer keep fit?

What is weight gain?

First, it is, of course, the lack of physical activity. If earlier you moved a lot, because you had to get to the office, now the resting place has turned into a comfortable office - you got up, went to the table, and already at work.

Secondly, most often in the office there is a certain time for eating. The body gets used to this routine, and its violation leads to imbalance and weight gain.

Thirdly, people with office jobs are often more socially active. It is easier for them to go bowling with friends on Saturday, while the freelancer gets used to the home environment, it becomes a comfortable environment for him, which he does not want to leave at all.

Ways for a freelancer to keep fit at home

Get ready for work

Freelancing is not a vacation, it's the same job as any other, just in more comfortable conditions. But sometimes it is these comfortable conditions and the lack of need to dress up / make up / look good that become the reason why we stop taking care of ourselves.

What to do? You need to get in the mood for work. It is worth preparing for yourself suitable clothes for work in the evening. Yes, what you sleep in is, of course, very comfortable clothes, but not only does not contribute to physical activity, but also destroys the motivation for productive work.

Plan your time

You should rationally distribute your strength during the day, not allowing the body to relax. It is necessary to draw up a daily regimen and a training regimen - this is the best solution for a freelancer who does not want to put up with negative changes in the figure.

Schedule a workout or a few active breaks (like walking/cleaning/shopping) throughout the day and take those plans seriously as they can't be cancelled. Another piece of advice on how a freelancer can look after their figure is to eat right.

Meals should also be strictly timed.

Breakfast - second breakfast - lunch - afternoon tea - dinner. For breakfast - something nutritious to recharge your energy to start the day. Oatmeal with fruit or muesli is perfect. For lunch - some more substantial dish + vegetables and fruits. Approximately the same for dinner, only a little easier, so as not to overload your stomach at night. Well, be sure to snack between the three main meals. Remember that it is better to eat often, but a little bit, than 1-2 times a day, but a lot at once.

If there is no way to prepare meals during the day (although you should have one when you leave the office), you can prepare several servings of food in the evening for consumption during the day. This way you will prevent the consumption of unhealthy food - chips for breakfast and a sandwich with chocolates for lunch.

This is especially true for all kinds of snacks and sweets. Of course, this is a great way to quickly satisfy your hunger, after which you can return to work. In addition, in this way you can reward yourself for productivity.

But most often this leads to excessive consumption of calories, which you will not even notice in the working fuse (only later, in the form of unpleasant changes on the body). Remember that only you decide what your body will be like, what it will eat, how it will look, which means you take responsibility for the consequences of your actions.

Alternate mental activity with routine

Make it a rule to take productive breaks. For example, it is useful to be distracted by household chores. It has been proven that such a change of activity has a beneficial effect on solving work problems. To take a fresh look at the range of tasks will help such a simple action as washing dishes.

Make time for hobbies

Enroll in dance courses, design or even hanging qualifications. Communication with new people, gaining new knowledge, skills and abilities will definitely have a positive effect on your condition in general.

Try something new

Try to diversify your life, spending efforts to improve it. For example, try new recipes, new home exercises, listen to new music. This will bring variety and innovation to life, help to avoid stagnation. You can find a team of like-minded people (yoga lovers, for example) who can support your desire to improve yourself and will not let you shy away from obligations.

Working hours must be strictly defined.

To do this, observe how much time it takes you to complete the project - this is the time that you spend searching for orders, working and refining, minus breaks and watching news feeds for inspiration. Perhaps it is worth getting a pet that simply will not let you sit still all day, launching your figure more and more. A dog is, to all other joys, also an average of two hours a day in the open air.

If such an acquisition seems like a big responsibility to you, and all your friends are usually busy on weekdays and cannot go for a walk with you, you can go for a walk and one - you can plan a visit to some museum exhibition, go to the cinema or zoo. Yes, even just to the park!

Looking for coworking spaces

If you feel that your life is turning into Groundhog Day, you need to save yourself urgently! Libraries or time cafes located near the house can help with this. In such places, you can work in comfort, while not relaxing enough to become completely lazy.

It should be added that for many freelancers, travel, visiting other cities and countries become a real salvation. Today you can work while traveling, besides, it significantly expands the horizons and scope of activity. Traveling not only helps to become a more active person (and therefore healthier), but also to make new acquaintances and fulfill old dreams of getting to know different cultures.

Well, the advice as a freelancer to follow your figure in the end, but no less important and significant from this - love, be loved and have sex more often. It lifts the mood and has a positive effect on the figure. After all, whatever one may say, this is a physical activity that kneads our muscles, and, moreover, is associated with getting pleasure. Isn't this the most ideal option - so that it is both effective and pleasant at the same time?
