This time, in the topic of beading figurines, we will consider a master class on the basis of which you can make cute beaded parrots with your own hands, namely a cockatoo with its signature crest of a beautiful multi-colored feathered one. At first glance, the work may seem rather complicated to you, but with step-by-step photographs and a detailed description, even a novice needlewoman can cope with the process.

How to weave a cockatoo

First of all, we note that basically the presented beaded parrot will be created on the basis of volumetric weaving technology, the essence of which is the sequential weaving of two tiers: upper and lower.

Before work, you will need to prepare the following materials and tools:

  • beads at number eight in three main shades: light, orange and dark;
  • wire (diameter 0.2 mm);
  • a thin fishing line and a needle - you will need to flash the finished figure.
  • the basis for weaving is a wire, one hundred and fifty centimeters long.

The first and second rows are made using a parallel technique. The number of beads in rows, respectively, for the first is one and for the second - two dark beads.

The further process is already being built on the basis of volumetric technology. In this case, each upper tier (VY) will form the back of the craft, and each lower tier will form the tummy.

So, the VYa of the third row (p.) consists of dark beads in the amount of three pieces. This set is placed on the same level in the previous rows. NY - two dark beads. Here you need to bend the wire so that this low lies below in relation to the previous tier. After that, the weaving is pulled together.

Row 4: Cast on either end of the following sequence of beads: four white (BB) and six orange. Next, holding the final orange bead, pass the same wire tip through the five oranges and a couple of whites in the opposite direction. After tightening the weave, you will get the first feather, which will subsequently fold into a tuft. Then, string the next pair of BBs here and pass the second wire tip through four BBs in the current tier (minus the beads that form the parrot's crest). NY - four BB.

Fifth Row: WL is made up of the following lows: 1 BB, 1 dark, 3 BB and five orange (OB). Holding the final one from the set, draw the same tip in four OBs and two BBs in the opposite direction. After pulling off the weave, string 1 BB, 1 dark and 1 BB.

Pass the second end into six beads in the current tier, minus the beads that form the feather of the parrot's tuft. AE -5 BB.

Sixth p.: VYa consists of 4 BB and 5 OB. Here it will also be necessary to hold the final bead and draw a wire of 4 OBs and 1 BB in the opposite direction. Next, after tightening the weave, dial 3 BB. At the same time, skip the second end in 6 BB in the current tier, with the exception of those that form the tuft feather of the parrot. AE - 5 BB.

Eighth and ninth pp. are made up of white beads, respectively, in tiers: for the eighth - four and seven, and for the ninth - five and eight.

Tenth p.: VYa 6 BB. At this stage, prepare two additional segments thirty centimeters long and insert one of them into a pair of extreme beads at one end of the row, and the second through the same ones, only at the other end. Such segments will be used further to create cockatoo wings. AE - 9 BB.

Eleventh r. - seven BB. NY - ten BB. Here also take an additional segment, thirty centimeters long and draw it into four central beads. Subsequently, cockatoo legs will be made on this segment.

Twelfth river: in the upper tier - eight BBs, in the lower - nine.

bright parrot

The next figure of a parrot is a rather bright product, because it is based on the use of multi-colored beads. In such a contrast, the small beaded bird looks very much like its living prototype. The weaving process is quite simple and then we will analyze its main stages.

First, let's decide on the materials and tools. The basis of weaving this parrot is beads of a wide variety of shades: blue, scarlet, emerald, yellow, dark, purple. In addition, you will need wire and scissors.

The work begins with the creation of a beaded head. The weaving wire has a diameter of 3 millimeters and a length of three meters. 3 pieces of dark-colored beads are strung first. Move this low to the center. The resulting low must be connected round. In this case, the ends should pass through the last bead of the second side. Weaving the head in this case is one of the simplest processes. The first and second rows are flat. Make dark rows after each level.

At the next stage, the technology of work is changing - it will be voluminous. Here, dark rows should be made in turn two lines.

To create wings from beads, you will need additional segments, the length of which varies in the region of thirty to thirty-five centimeters. On a shorter distance, these details may not work, so it’s better to take it with a margin. They are inserted into the final 3 beads in a certain row, according to the scheme. In addition, they should be fixed along the weaving in a row that is not tightly pulled together. This will make it possible to make the wings more even. Both parts are identical to each other. Having made them, fix the ends among the broaches.

The further process continues according to the scheme until the next yellow bead row begins to form. Before weaving the next one, fasten the next additional piece (about thirty cm in length). It needs to be stretched into 6 pieces of beads located in the center of the row. Next, continue to work and weave the next 3 rows. When finished with them, stretch the next additional segment of the same length.

According to the scheme, make the paws of a parrot, as well as three claws with a heel. The sequence of actions for creating this element from beads is clearly visible on the diagram. Similarly, with the first foot, another one is woven.

After completing the creation of all the details, fix the wire. Your funny multi-colored beaded parrot is ready.

A beaded bird can be an excellent interior decoration, a toy or a talisman. To create it, you need a suitable pattern, thin wire, beads of different colors and, of course, your imagination.

DIY green fire bird

It is best to make a green heat bird using the parallel weaving technique. The essence of this method is simple - we string a bead on a wire, and those beads that will be below are first strung on one end of the wire, and then we thread the other through them. Add the rest of the rows in the same way.

Before weaving a green fire bird, it is better to draw a diagram. Outline only the body, all other parts must be made using a different technology. It is better to start creating a green heat bird with a beak made of black beads. It should be a thin strip.

Next, add more rows. You can use beads of light green, emerald, marsh color. All shades are either combined in one row, or each row consists of one of them.

The next task is to add the tail and wings. The easiest way would be to make parts of the wings and tail in the form of strips that need to be fastened together and tied to the body. Given that the heatbird itself will be green, you should use similar shades of beads and combine them with other suitable colors, such as bronze, gold, orange, red, black, brown or yellow.

To make the green heat bird as spectacular as possible, string contrasting beads on the tips of the details. Remember that for both wings there should be one scheme.

Beaded bird of happiness

You can make a bird of happiness using the parallel weaving technique, but so that it is used in the process of making wings and tail.

First you need to draw a diagram so that it represents both the body and the tail. The tail should be extended downwards. It is better to look for bright colors, for example, orange, blue, blue, emerald, etc.

After the body with the tail is ready, you need to weave the wings in a parallel technique and attach them to the base. It is desirable that each wing consists of three parts.

To make the tail of a beaded bird more interesting, you can tie a string of beads and wire to it.

Beaded stork

In the manufacture of this voluminous bird, several techniques can be applied at once. It is easy to make legs - we string red beads on a thick wire and fasten three small wires with several beads to the bottom.

When creating the torso and head, you should use a different technique. We string white beads on the wire, turn them into a ring and create a second row, winding the wire to the previous one after stringing each bead. It is better to start from the tail, then expand the rings in the torso area, and then narrow and lift them up to make a neck and head. Eyes can be glued, and the beak can be created separately and tied.

Wings are created using the technique of parallel weaving. For their base you need white beads, and for the tips - black. Next, we wind them to the body.

Make a three-dimensional figure of a hummingbird on a wire 1.2 m long, starting with the beak, the rows of which are strung flat. Then continue alternately lowering up and down in the way of volumetric parallel weaving. For flat wings, pull two wires through the beads of the body, for voluminous paws - two other wires. Pull one wire through the last upper row of the body - for the tail.

String beads on it using the flat weave method and cross the ends. String your fingers on additional wires, starting with the one that faces back. Then pull the wire forward through the last row of the paw. String beads for three fingers, twist the ends of the wire and cut off the excess.

For a parrot figurine, you will need a wire 1.3 m long. Start with the beak. Perform the first three rows using the flat lowering method, the fourth row will become the lower volume, and then perform all subsequent rows with volume. Pull two separate wires for legs and wings through the beads of the torso. The first row of paws should be voluminous, and subsequent rows should be flat.

Thread your fingers onto additional wires, starting with the one that faces back, and pull the wire forward through the last row of the paw. Twist both ends of the wire and cut off the excess. Lower the flat wings according to the scheme and, moving them slightly towards each other, lay them flat on the back.

Parrot weaving pattern:

The scheme of weaving a simple and parakeet:

To weave these parrots, you need to master the technique of parallel bead weaving. Shown here are 2 diagrams of two different parrots. The peculiarity of these schemes is that the back and abdomen are merged in one image, if you look closely, you will see that the color of the beads is marked with a stick in the center of the circle, which is tilted to the right or left.

Weaving patterns:

Required material:

white beads
- yellow beads
- black beads for beak, eyes and paws
- wire

The scheme of its weaving:

To make a voluminous parrot, you need to take:

Red beads
- blue beads
- yellow beads
- black beads
- white beads
- copper wire
The weaving technique is called "parallel".

1. Perform the entire figurine of the crowned dove, with the exception of the beak and tail, on a 1.5 m long wire. The threading directions are shown in the diagram. Each tuft feather is shown in the diagram by arrows. In the last bottom row, string one bead and make one tuft feather on each individual wire, then again pull the wires through the beads in the opposite direction. Pull the ends of the wire through the head in front of the last top row and bring it out.

2. Perform the rows of the body by alternating lowering back and forth using the method of volumetric parallel weaving. Skip the second back row, pull the ends of the wire in the opposite direction through the first back row. Complete the torso and stretch two separate wires for flat wings and voluminous paws. For claws, string beads according to the scheme on one end of the wire.

Weaving pattern:

With the exception of the first two rows, make a volumetric bird figurine on a wire 1.3 m long. Bend the first three rows of the beak downwards. After completing the head, pull the ends of the wire through the head, behind the row in which the eyes are indicated, and bring them out. Perform the rows of the body by alternating lowering back and forth using the method of volumetric parallel weaving. Pull two separate wires for stringing flat wings and voluminous paws. String beads on each individual claw wire.

The art of beading helps us transform multicolored beads into unique pieces and crafts. In this lesson, weaving birds from beads will be considered using the example of a parrot and a penguin. There are several weaving technologies on the basis of which such figures are made: these are flat and volumetric techniques. The first method is more suitable for beginners, the second is a little more complicated, but using a step-by-step master class with photo and video explanations, you can easily repeat the proposed weaving. Work slowly, learn to read the diagrams correctly and you will definitely succeed.

This tutorial features a beaded Cockatoo parrot with a signature crest. In order to make such a figure, you need to prepare such a simple kit with a set of materials and tools:

  • beads of white (BB), orange (ORB) and black (BW) colors at number eight;
  • wire for weaving from beads with a diameter of 0.2 mm;
  • fishing line with which the product will need to be flashed.

For the main thread we take a wire with a length of one hundred and fifty centimeters. So let's get started.

The initial rows numbered one and two are weaved using the parallel weaving technique, picking up one and two beads, respectively. According to the presented step-by-step photos, it will be easier for you to understand the method of weaving a parrot, so contact them if the described scheme of actions becomes not entirely clear to you. In the video, you can also view the weaving of similar figures.

In the third row we will use volumetric weaving. The levels of beads located in the upper part make up the back of the parrot, and in turn, the levels going along the bottom make up the tummy.

For the upper level (VU) of the third row, we string three black beads. We distribute this low in the same plane with the previous rows. The lower level (LL) consists of two BWs. Next, you need to bend the wire so that the beads lie on the bottom relative to the previous level. See how this process takes place in the photo. After these actions, the weaving of the parrot is pulled together.

For the fourth row, on one of the wires we string such a series of the main material: four things in white and six in orange. After that, holding the trailing bead, it is necessary to pass the tip of the wire through the remaining beads from the dialed in the opposite direction. By pulling the wire, we will get one of the feathers that will fold into the crest of our beaded parrot.

We resume work with the same wire and collect two BBs on it. We put the other tip through four BBs at this level, minus the beads that form the feather.

For the lower level, we collect 4 BB.

The VU of the fifth row consists of the following sequence: 1 BB, 1 BW, 3 BB, 5 ORB. Now, bypassing the closing wire, we put the wire through the remaining orange and two light beads in the opposite direction. Further, the weaving is tightened and a set of beads is made one by one in white, black and again white. At the same time, the second tip is threaded into six beads in the current level, minus those that form the tuft of a parrot.

NK - five BB.

To create the sixth row, dial: four and five pieces of the main material, respectively, in white and orange. Now, again we pass the final one and stretch the wire through four ORBs and one BB in the opposite direction. We tighten the work and string the following light beads here in the amount of three pieces.

The second tip is pushed into six light beads in the current level (minus, as usual, the details in the tuft).

NU - consists of 5 BB.

The seventh row consists of the following consecutive set: two BBs and five ORBs. Here, we bypass the final one and stick the tip into the remaining four in the opposite direction. We tighten the weave and string two BBs. The second wire is threaded into four white beads.

For NU, string six BBs.

The eighth and ninth rows consist of light beads, respectively, in levels four and seven, and also five and eight.

The upper level of the tenth row is made up of a low level of six BBs. In this line, we need to add two wire segments with a length of thirty centimeters. The first segment is stretched into a pair of extreme beads at one end of the row, and the second, respectively, into a pair of extreme ones at the other end. These prepared elements will later be used to weave parrot wings from beads.

Well - nine BB.

The WU of the eleventh row consists of seven light-colored beads. NU consists of 10 BB. Here, you need to add another additional wire, thirty centimeters long and push it through the four beads located in the center, as in the photo. This detail will serve as the basis for creating the legs for the parrot.

The next is the twelfth row of white beads. For levels, type eight and nine things.

The VU of the thirteenth row is 7 BB. NU - 8 BB. At this stage, it remains to weave another additional piece of thirty centimeters and stick it with four beads in the center. The next leg of our parrot will be created on this part.

The fourteenth and fifteenth rows are beads of the same shade - white. According to the levels, these are six, seven and five, six pieces.

  • sixteenth row: VU - 4 BB, NU - 4 ORB;
  • seventeenth and eighteenth rows: VU - 3 BB, NU - 3 ORB;
  • the two final rows numbered nineteen and twenty are made up of only the upper levels, which include four light beads each.

At this stage, the weaving of the beaded body of the parrot is completed. It remains to fix the wire on which the work was carried out. To do this, pass any of its tips through the previous bead row and twist the wires together. Trim off the excess. Hide the rest inside the figurine.

Now, let's move on to creating parrot wings on pre-prepared pieces of wire.

To create the wings of a parrot, a simple parallel weaving technology is used, according to the following scheme:

  • 1 – 2;
  • 2 – 4;
  • 3 – 5;
  • 4 – 6;
  • 5 – 5;
  • 6 – 4;
  • 7 – 3;
  • 8 – 2;
  • 9 – 1.

After the wings of the parrot are woven, fix the wire.

After the wings, it remains for us to make the legs of our parrot. For these purposes, we will use additional wires prepared in advance and threaded in the area of \u200b\u200bthe belly of the figure. The left leg is woven on a pair of tips on the left side, and the right leg is woven on the remaining pair of right ones.

For the legs of the parrot, we use a three-dimensional weaving technique by levels.

So, VU and NU of the first row consists of light beads, two things for each. In the next row there are levels of one bead of light and dark shades. The remaining third row is one black bead, which is parallel to the previous one of the same color.

Now we make claws for the parrot. We string four pieces of the base material of a dark shade on either end and bypassing the final one, we draw the wire into the three previous ones. According to this scheme, make the remaining pair of claws. Thread this wire into a dark bead in a woven leg (NU of the second line) and pull it out. Thus, we have formed parallel tips, on which we carry out parallel weaving of a pair of rows, consisting of one dark bead. Thereafter. You need to fix the tips, cut them off and hide them in the elements of the figurine.

The next leg of the parrot is created using the same technology.

This completes the beaded cockatoo parrot weaving tutorial. In order for your figure to take on a stable shape, sew it with a fishing line. This action will allow you to install this figure on any surface. Leaving the product unstitched, you can use it as an original pendant.

Flat penguin figurine

The next master class will show you weaving a simpler one - a flat penguin figurine. With the help of an additional mount, such a beaded penguin can be, for example, on your refrigerator.

Required materials and tools:

  • beads at number ten: blue (SB), white (BB), yellow (JB) and black (BW) tones;
  • weaving wire, the diameter of which is 0.2 millimeters.

To create the first line, string five pieces of blue beads and move them to the center. The next line consists of a set of seven sat on one of the ends. The second end is pulled through this low in the opposite direction. If you are not familiar with the technique of parallel weaving, study the video with a master class on this topic.
