Breastfeeding consultant and mother of Ilya (1.9) - prepared an overview of places in Moscow where you can go with your baby.
"This list is my personal. I do not pretend to be completely objective and I do not want to tell about everything at once. This is just where I have been with my son personally, what I saw, ate, watched, played, tried.

Antikafe
So, oddly enough, it is best to go with your child not to a cafe, but to an "anti-cafe", which are a lot in Moscow. On the plus side: comfortable environment - in some places there are even ottomans and soft sofas, they do not smoke (although now they do not smoke everywhere!), Tea buns for mom are included in the price, children are free, you can bring food with you and warm up in the microwave. Of the minuses, these are often basements, there may be difficulties with ventilation and stairs at the entrance, and even the dangerous location of teapots and cups, which children’s hands are drawn to. The price of an hour is from 120 to 180 rubles.
1. Sandbox
Located a couple of minutes from metro Kitay-Gorod. On the plus side, there are huge windows in the large hall, and from this there is wonderful light, in any weather. Of the minuses - a very heavy door, the absence of a ramp and a staircase to the 3rd floor, where the anti-cafe is located - it's hard to climb with a child. Kettles are within reach of children's pens - especially you will not relax. From the setting - sofas and tables in the large hall, there is even a stage for concerts. In the rehearsal room - ottomans and large mirrors, if necessary - bring a carpet for crawling babies.
2. Nest
Located between metro Kurskaya and metro Kitay-Gorod, on the first floor of a skyscraper. There is no ramp, the stairs are small. It can be stuffy inside. The cinema hall has comfortable ottomans and low tables - ideal for a small group of mothers with children.
3. Asylum
Located not far from metro Chistye Prudy, in a semi-basement, downward, as usual, is a staircase. It's also stuffy, but you can open the windows.
The cinema hall has comfortable sofas and tables between them, you can sit comfortably without disturbing other companies. There is a complex "Early start" - children are happy to climb ladders and slides.

Children's clubs and specialized playgrounds
4. Mamas Place in Gorky Park
A very inspiring space. The design is rather austere - brick walls, large windows and a minimum of furniture (not counting mobile tables and chairs and necessarily a carpet with toys). But at the same time, in all this minimalism, freedom and comfort are felt and you don't want to leave. Classes for mothers and babies are held every day from 11 a.m. (focused primarily on mothers, and babies play on the carpet or join as far as possible) - here are painting, yoga, and time management - the full schedule is better to learn on the pages on the Internet ... Concerts and performances are regularly held, including the already well-known baby hit - the play "Water" for little kids. The cost of tickets for classes - 800 rubles (child + 1 adult), 400 - additional adult, performances and concerts - 1200 (adult + child), 600 - additional adult ticket.
5. Green School in Gorky Park
This season, the Green School opened in a new location, also in the building to the left of the Garage. Now, in order to get inside, you have to go around the whole building practically in a circle, but I hope that soon everything will work in full force. However, the future beds and other necessary attributes for young gardeners are already visible. There are several classrooms inside the room (see the schedule in advance on the website) and even a new theme - Nursery - space for the little ones, from 0 to 4 years old - a large bright room with a carpet, toys (everything is as expected), a separate toilet. There are tea cookies for parents and an opportunity to warm up food for the child. The nursery works in the anti-cafe format - 4 rubles / minute. Master classes and classes in the "Green School" are paid, from 200 rubles / hour, there is a subscription system.

6. CitYkids in Bauman's Garden
This family center is located in Bauman's garden next to a very interesting playground. By the way, it is divided by age, from the smallest (sand, swing) to the oldest (all sorts of climbing frames). There is an interesting "second" tier, from which you can see everything from above.
Classes are regularly held in the center (the schedule is again on the site), the first trial is free, there are open lessons, including those using the unique Baby Sensori method. There is a separate playroom with a bunch of interesting toys (from 250 rubles / hour), with friendly nannies who will help look after the child. Straight through the glass wall from the playroom - the nail salon for mums - Nail Spot. Moreover, a manicure here can be done for daughters - children's water-based varnish, safe and washed off with water.
7. Mother's Garden in the Hermitage Garden
A wonderful space located at the back of the playground in the Hermitage Garden. Very different in its design from other children's centers - high ceilings, maximum wood, interesting balconies, benches, tables. Even classes here are called in a special way - "Careful acquaintance with music", "Kosholad and Chipiyakha", "Playground and communication". In fact, the classes themselves take place before lunchtime, and in the afternoon - interesting lectures and meetings for parents, as well as creative "fooling around". In the building itself there is also a hairdressing salon, a small shop for children's books and all sorts of interesting things "Nonsense" and a buffet with mostly "children's" food.
8. House of Miracles at VDNKh
This club opened quite recently in a separate building near the “House of Culture” pavilion. There are several rooms on different topics - from a playroom for the smallest, a small gym where classes for mothers (Pilates, for example) are held, rooms with a special Lego-education program, as well as workshops. You can come here just to play and take a breath after a walk through VNDKh, or you can attend classes or master classes. There is even a mini kindergarten.

9. Children's embassy at VDNKh
This space cannot be called a kindergarten or a club - this is really a "special country" where children can stay from several hours to a full day, comfortably interact with each other and with adults. A very beautiful environment - all made of wood, unlike other toys, the smells of freshly baked pie - that's how I felt this place. And I also did not hear the usual children's noise here, such as when several children of different ages get together - children played on the playground, rode scooters, interacted, felt how comfortable they were in this space and with the people around them.
In the first half of the day in a separate house there are joint activities for mothers and babies, including songs, games, acquaintance with different materials in sensory boxes, creativity and even tea drinking according to all the rules. One-time lesson 800 rubles, in a subscription for 650 rubles.
10.
Although there is a playroom, for example, in the Manege, in the Jewish Museum it is not just a space where a child can play while parents are watching the exposition, but a really children's center. There are 3 large halls, each with its own tasks. The kitchen, for example, is for cooking classes, there is also a room with toys and the largest room - even with a slide. The design of the space is associated with the building in which everything is located. Therefore, the alphabet is for example in Hebrew. There are master classes and educational programs for children from 3 years old, it is better to learn about them on the website.
11. Wow city on Tulskaya
A family center with the Orange Cow House cafe on the ground floor, a playground (for a fee), a toy store and a hairdresser. Numerous classes are held on the second floor. We were not in class, but as for the cafe, there is a small children's corner, highchairs, bibs and even special wireless headphones to hear the sound of a cartoon that is shown on a large TV. So do not be surprised why, for example, children sit and dine with headphones on. The food is homemade, there are lunches at a very reasonable price and even Japanese cuisine.
12. Alice's house
The hostesses are very hospitable here! The place specializes in themed birthdays, but sometimes hosts “open houses” when you can just come and play in the magical city with Alice. Many interesting high-quality toys that will be interesting for babies from 1 year old.

Cafes that are positioned as "family"
13. Anderson
The most famous chain of family cafes in the capital. There are several branches in different parts of the city, while all the cafes are not alike. We were in 5, of which 3 have playgrounds for children. There are no playrooms in the cafes on Strastnoy Boulevard and on Tupolev, but it is tasty, like in the rest of the Andersons. The menu includes hearty breakfasts and delicious lunches, and there are so many delicious things, for example, desserts, there is a separate children's menu, in which the dishes are also especially decorated (try, for example, "Mickey Mouse" - cutlets with mashed potatoes).
In Anderson, on Prospect Mira, there is a wonderful shady veranda, a large bright room and a separate play area for children, consisting of several rooms - two pools with plastic balls, a room with poufs and a TV, as well as other cozy corners. There are separate halls for banquets - a fireplace and a banquet hall in the playroom. There is a separate small toilet for children and a changing table for the little ones.
In Anderson on Barrikadnaya (also called "Anderson for Dads") the playroom is not so big, but it is located directly in the hall, behind the glass. There is also a room with a drum kit, a punching bag, and even a separate feeding chair in a secluded corner (although this is a chair for moms, of course).
In Anderson on Sokol, there is a separate floor for the playroom, a separate one for the cafe, there is a veranda.

14. Typography
One of the most famous "children's" places in Moscow. A restaurant in which every day instead of a part of the tables in the center of the hall there is a large white carpet, toys and even nannies. It turned out that this is the most convenient format - when mothers can sit around the perimeter, and children can play calmly, because mother is nearby. For parents - a large selection of European and Japanese cuisine, as well as, for example, live broadcasts of sports matches on screens. For children, in addition to toys, a separate menu (including a menu for the little ones, for example steamed vegetables, mashed with a blender) and chic chairs, and every weekend - interesting master classes. There are often birthdays on weekends, so book a table in advance.
15. Kitchenonyourway
Cafe chain for the whole family. We were in a cafe on Bolshaya Marfinskaya. It is located in the residential complex "Giraffe" and is designed apparently for residents of the residential complex itself, because from the metro you can get here by public transport, and you will have to walk decently from the stop.
With a stroller and a sleeping child, they are allowed to go straight into the hall. The hall itself is small (or rather there are several of them), cozy, there is a rack with books-toys, as it should be in such cafes. There is a small playroom and a separate table near it. But there is not enough space, for several children it will already be cramped. There is no separate children's menu, but even in adults there is something to try for children. There is a special application for phones where you can collect points and receive gifts.
16. Shardam
Last season, there was a wonderful cafe in Tagansky Park, right on the edge of the football field, with a great children's corner and cozy tables under umbrellas. But now this cafe is gone.
But there is a new "Shardam" in Muzeon. Here, too, a part of the cafe is a cool shady veranda, there is a hall in the room. There is also a children's corner.
I would also like to tell you about the children's playroom "Shardam" in the Atrium, into which the child and I were not allowed, explaining that adults cannot visit them and children under 3 years old too, although nowhere in their numerous advertisements that hang throughout the shopping center, it has not been written about.
17. Children's chocolate maker
There are already several ordinary “Shokoladnitsa” in Moscow near each metro, and by the way, it’s not bad with a child — there is a highchair, coloring books, and dishes from the menu that a child can eat. But there are only two Children's Chocolate Girls (at least I know about them). We often visit one of them, in the "Golden Babylon". There is a slightly different atmosphere - cozy sofas with pillows and blankets, many toys, books, a children's labyrinth with climbing frames and a pool with balls, children's animation. The usual menu is expanded with children's dishes, but there are no business lunches. There are often children's birthdays, and because of this it is very crowded and noisy, so the ideal time to visit is the first half of the day on weekdays.
18. Lilac
On my first visit here, I was completely delighted with both the menu and the playground (of course, the child and I were alone in the entire cafe), and the cleanliness of the toilets and the presence of a changing room. On the second visit after previous visitors, the children's playroom was in complete ruin, and no one tried to put things in order - there was half-drunk coffee, the caps from the tubes of mashed potatoes were lying around, and what can we say about the toys that were lying around. Yes, it's great that there is a lot of place for children to play, there is also a labyrinth (which kids can't get into), and the entire range of the children's department from ikea, but I also wanted order. The next time I heard about this cafe from a friend who was not allowed inside with a pram and a sleeping child (they said "not allowed"). The impression was completely ruined.

City cafes where you will feel comfortable with your child
19. VietCafe in Afimoll
One of the few places for children in Afimoll. There is a separate playroom, so it is better to take a table near it. In the playroom - an ottoman, a drawing board, toys - not a lot, of course, but there will be enough rest after shopping. For children, the menu has a special complex offer for 316 rubles to choose from soup, additive, pancake and sweet, served in a cute plate in the form of an airplane, divided into sectors. Quite tasty (parents had something to treat themselves to). The playroom can be cramped if there are many children.
20. Tavern
We were in two cafes - on Velozavodskaya and on Shmitovskiy proezd. Both there and there were children's rooms and animators in them (ready to play even with a year, while the parents eat). The children's rooms themselves are small, there are toys, a TV, books. By the way, the TV can be asked to turn off! Highchairs are also available. There is no point in talking about the menu - it's very tasty! I only advise you to pay attention to a few things: 1) ask right at the entrance about the children's room and ask for a table nearby, otherwise you will have to run from floor to floor like in Shmitovsky. 2) There is a tablecloth on the table, an abundance of napkins, and then all sorts of plates - the child tried to turn everything over, pulling the tablecloth.
21. Il Patio on Trubnaya
There are enough cafes of this network in Moscow, but we found a children's room only in this one. The room itself is a walk-through room (the service entrance door often opens), there is a soft floor covering, a drawing table, toys. In principle, it will do, but it's still better to look after the child here.
I won't talk about the menu in this network, pizza-pasta, all that. Upon entering, ask for a table immediately closer to the children's room.
22. Mu-mu on Timiryazevskaya
What I didn’t expect to see in such an establishment is the playroom. It is also located right in the main hall, near the tables, and is separately fenced. There were almost no toys and entertainment, but even in this form, it was an excellent opportunity to let the child out to “warm up”. I think it makes no sense to talk about the menu of the cafe "mu-mu", in general, if they wish, the children will find something to eat.
23.

Antikafe House by the Sea- no longer works in the anti-cafe format, now it is a spacious loft area for events, accordingly, it is necessary to pre-book a separate zone or hall. The house by the sea is a real art center with a concert venue. In addition to the homely atmosphere, fast Wi-Fi, board games and playstation, regular workshops, concerts and movie nights are the norm here. In the varied event poster, you will find events for every taste: live music concerts for babies, yoga and dance classes, acting classes, dance parties and psychological festivals. Here you can always have a party or celebrate a birthday with your friends. If you are organizing events: master classes / trainings / individual lessons / board games, as well as arrange photo sessions / creative evenings / concerts and are looking for a venue, then the House by the Sea will be happy to offer you cooperation on preferential terms with information support. This usually means having your own audience. In addition to the event component, one can also note the eye-pleasing interior and the presence of multi-format recreation areas for every taste and company.
