The basis of the suit

Shirt

Our fairytale hero cannot do without a helmet. You can build it from the material at hand.

For this we need:

plastic bottle;
large plastic glass;
silver paint;
scotch;
scissors.

To start cut out the base from the plastic bottle.

A cone is made from a glass. The bottom is cut and the workpiece is cut in a vertical line. From it we form a cone and attach it to our blank from the bubble. For this we need double-sided tape.

So the helmet is ready, let's move on to creating the remaining attributes for the hero.

Boots

First you need to take a measurement from the baby's leg and make a pattern. We transfer the drawing to the material.

IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that a seam allowance of at least 1 cm must be made.

The sole can be made from a carpet or a piece of linoleum.

We cut out all the details of the boots and iron them. After that we add a sealant to each element of the boot, for example, a synthetic winterizer, so that the shoes keep their shape.
We fold the details with the front side and cut off all the seams. After that, we try on the child's leg.
Next, we pin the fabric base to the sole with pins. We begin to sew on the sole with our hands, because the sewing machine will not sew such a dense material as linoleum.

Boots for our hero are ready.

Sword or spear

If you already have a ready-made sword and spear for a child, then you can safely take it for a matinee. But if this is not the case, then it can simply be made from cardboard and paper.

ATTENTION! The sword and spear must first of all be safe for the baby and his environment.

It is necessary to print a sketch of the blank, transfer it to cardboard. It is advisable to make several blanks that stick together. This is necessary to make the product stronger.

We repaint the finished blanks in silver color. The handle of the sword can be decorated with foil or wrapped with strong threads. In addition, you can apply a pattern to the finished product.

Shield

Make the shield in the form of a circle. Also repaint in a silver shade and decorate with foil. You can also apply the coat of arms of the fairytale character. Sew an elastic band on the inside so that the kid can hold the sword in his hands.

When making a carnival costume, give free rein to your imagination and ingenuity. You can make an outfit literally from ordinary things that, it would seem, are completely not intended for this. But remember that you shouldn't use a lot of accessories. Stick to a strictly masculine look when creating a hero's outfit.

I made such a knight costume, sometimes I have to help my brother. He plays in the theater. This is not my first costume, but one of the simplest.

It is not difficult to make such a suit. You will need - such a gray fabric as in the photo, an ax (either buy in children's toys or cut out of wood), a large black T-shirt and a coat of arms.

I had to sew the suit myself. I bought this fabric, made the markings, cut it out and sewed it. It turned out to be such a suit. The hatchet was. I printed the coat of arms in the copy center and just glued it to the shirt.

So this costume has turned out.

For the New Year, a boy can sew a very original costume of a hero or a knight.

For the first option, you need to sew a linen shirt and linen pants. Then, from yarn of silver metallic color, knit chain mail, as well as a protective mesh for the helmet. And the chain mail is made of thick silvery cardboard (we used tetra packets made of juice - they are cut in the form of strips, one side is straight, the other in the form of half rings, and the whole chain mail is assembled in this way). The helmet is also made of a solid silvery tetrapack and fixed to each other with wide tape.

And of course a red cloak and red boots are required, as well as a sword!

I knitted a hero's costume and sewed a scarlet cloak. With threads for knitting I got a little confused. I could not find steel-colored threads with lurex. I bought a silvery fabric that does not crumble, cut it into thin strips, cut it as if in a circle so that it came out continuously without knots. I also had to get confused with silver threads. It was somehow too expensive, because they are sold mainly in small spools. Again I bought a silver fabric that can be dissolved, so it turned out cheaper and the skein is weighty. Then, in two threads, I knitted an elongated sleeveless jacket with a pattern of chain mail with knitting needles, it is easier (also used) to crochet a mesh (double crochet, 2 air loops.). The helmet was knitted with hooks like a simple hat, but in front, where she wears, she made a small triangle. And above, at the top of the head, I made a dive. I sewed a piece of silver fabric (which I let loose for threads), embroidered rays. I painted the top with nail polish with large sparkles. I bought a braid for the raincoat, communicated, inserted it into the buckle. I sewed cotton to the raincoat and sleeveless jacket so that the raincoat was stationary and did not dangle back and forth on the neck. I am attaching a photo of what happened)

Sewing a New Year's costume for a boy with your own hands is not so difficult if you know how to sew. But the hero's costume contains enough small details. Firstly, it is a helmet, sword, chain mail. As a rule, the costume of a Russian hero consists of a folk shirt, cloak, pants and boots. The costumes can be supplemented with accessories: sword or shield, mace.

The shirt can be cut out using the simplest pattern:

Making the suit soft is easy enough, basic sewing skills are enough.

You can still rondel the armpits. You just sew it on.

Additionally, you can take gloves and sew them too. Small plates on the phalanx from above (too much on the sides - you will have to walk with your fingers, but you certainly don’t need to sheathe the inside), on the next, and finally on the back of your hand. To make it completely beautiful, each next row hangs somewhat over the previous one.

Like there are whole scales on the fingers here. One plate per phalanx is enough. And let it be solid over the palm. Craga (bell) - very good. If there is still material left, do it.

You can make a helmet from the same isolon. Here you will definitely have to take 1 cm thick.

This thing is called bascinet. It even has a rib, so making it out of two halves, we will stay close to the truth. The visor can be omitted. The only thing I would advise is to connect the two halves in front and below so that they do not bulge, and the helmet keeps its shape.

As a result, you should get something like this:

You can not fool around, but make a knight of the 12th century. Sew a shirt, pants and a hood from jersey, matching the colors to match the chain mail. Or sew on some kind of mesh on top. Put on a bright cott-d-arm on top - it's just a rectangle with a cut for the head and a couple of cuts, stitched on the sides (for beauty, we draw some coat of arms on nm with acrylic). The helmet is a round bottom, we sew a rectangle and a mask to it - all the same isolon.

The hero's costume can be made using improvised items.

As a basis, for example, use a white or black turtleneck and black or blue wide knit pants gathered at the bottom or gather.

You can take a shiny silver fabric and sew like a cape, i.e. make a slit for the head in the center of the rectangle, and sew on the sides, leaving slits for the hands.

Of course, you can't do without a raincoat and boots.

Cut out a rectangle from red or blue fabric and make ties on one side for putting on a raincoat. Boots can be taken ready-made (if any) or sewn from the same fabric as a raincoat.

Well, the final image is a helmet.

The helmet can be made from cardboard and colored paper, or sewn from brightly colored fabric.

An interesting option for making chain mail from T-shirts and foil.

Suit options:

To sew a costume of a knight or a Russian epic hero with our own hands, we need various fabrics. From which we will cut a tunic, the dimensions of which correspond to the child's height. In this costume, she reaches the knight's knees.

Fold the fabric in half, make a slit for the head at the fold, and cut the hem figured out. We bend and overcast the sides and neck sections.

Make a cross on the chest in a contrasting color from satin fabric or ribbons. We will attach two ribbons on the sides.

Now let's start making the shield. Ideally, a shiny cake box base will work. If there is none, then we cut out the circle ourselves, prime it with white acrylic in two layers and paint it with metallized paint.

Almost every boy in his childhood wanted to be a hero. So why not make your dream come true? After all, you can make a cool costume for the protagonist, and make a helmet of a hero on your head with your own hands.

We work with paper

The process of forming a helmet from paper can be traced to the example of a master class.

For needlework you will need: a balloon, plasticine, a centimeter, paper, PVA, petroleum jelly, silver and black paint, a sponge.

Inflate the balloon approximately the same size as the circumference of the child's head (you can measure it in advance with a centimeter). Lubricate the ball with Vaseline, then draw a sketch of the future helmet on it. Now we take the paper, cut it into small pieces, and begin to glue the ball using the papier-mâché technique. First, we glue the first layer, then we wait until it dries, and only then we glue the second. Using this technique, the helmet will be stronger.

When we paste the required amount of paper, gently blow off the ball, cut it off, and then sand the uneven edges. We make out a spike on the crown with plasticine. Glue a couple of layers of paper again and wait until the structure is completely dry. Then we cover the workpiece with a couple of layers of PVA. You can mix it with white paint.

Now you need to paint the helmet. Apply neatly and evenly the first layer of silver paint, and then, after complete drying, the second layer. Before the paint dries, take a sponge, dip it in black paint and gently nail it to the workpiece. Such a technique should create the effect that the helmet is old. From the inside we paint the helmet with black (only acrylic) paint. Mesh fabric can be glued to the back if desired.

You can use the same technique if you want to make a foil helmet. To make a helmet, instead of silver paint, take regular kitchen foil and smooth it over the surface of the hat. You can glue the foil on PVA glue. And at the end, you can decorate the hat as you wish.

A simple lesson

And now we will give you another item on how to make a helmet with your own hands from scrap materials.

To do this, you will need a 5 liter plastic bottle, a large plastic cup, a washing bag, silver paint, scissors, double-sided tape.

Draw a helmet on the top of the bottle and cut it out.

We attach the cone to the bottle with scotch tape.

Cut a rectangle out of your laundry bag and paint it silver.

We paint the workpiece with the same paint. You may need to coat the helmet in two to three coats for a richer metallic hue.

We try on the mesh, mark the places where we attach it with a marker.

Using double-sided tape, we attach the mesh to the inside of the bottle.

What to make a helmet for a hero

The hero's costume does not look at all without a headdress, so a little warrior will need a beautiful helmet. It can be made from simple and affordable materials.

What you need to work:

5 liter plastic bottle;

Plastic cup 500 ml;

Laundry bag or mesh section;

Silver or gold paint in a spray can;

Mounting double-sided tape;

Scissors and glue.

Working process

1. Cut out the base of the helmet from the top of the bottle. To do this, draw a wide frontal part with a marker, leave the sides even. We cut off all unnecessary.

2. From a plastic glass we make a conical top of the helmet. To do this, cut out the bottom of the glass, cut it vertically. We cut out a cone from the resulting plastic sheet, fasten it with double-sided tape.

4. We start making chain mail for the helmet. We make it from a washing bag. This mesh is quite durable and inexpensive. You can use mosquito nets or leftover tulle, but the material is thin and stretches a lot.

5. We paint the grid with paint from a spray can in silver or gold color.

7. Cut the mesh and try it on the helmet. In the places of attachment, we apply double-sided tape, to which we attach the chain mail-mesh.

Chain mail and shirt for a hero with their own hands

An irreplaceable attribute of a heroic costume is a shirt with a Slavic pattern and chain mail. To sew a Bogatyr costume for a boy with your own hands, you need to stock up on the following materials:

White loose shirt;

Cut of the border with a Slavic pattern;

Foil underlay for laminate;

Glue, scissors, double-sided tape.

Working process

Step # 1 Bogatyr's shirt

How to make boots and pants for a hero-boy suit with your own hands

Old Russian heroes wore high boots with curved toes and a figured bootleg. You cannot find such on sale, but making them is quite simple from scrap materials.

What you need to work:

Thick fabric for boots;

Dublerin;

Dense linoleum or leather for the sole;

Thick threads for decorative work;

Shiloh, scissors.

Shield and sword for a hero from scrap materials

The weapon makes the outfit more effective. As a rule, a do-it-yourself suit of a hero for a boy is complemented with a shield and a sword.

To make a sword you will need:

Thick cardboard;

Spray paint;

Metal and plastic decorations;

Glue, scissors.

Draw a sketch of the future sword on thick cardboard. We cut out several parts, which we glue together. This will add extra strength to the finished product.

We cover the dried sword blank with several layers of spray paint to get an even and beautiful color. When the paint is dry, we proceed to decorate the sword.

To decorate the handle, you can take beads, multi-colored plastic or metal rhinestones, colored foil, and more. Decorations are glued in random order to the hilt of a cardboard sword.

A shield for a warrior is made light. In Slavic culture, the shape of the shield was simple, more like a circle or oval. The shield for the hero consists of several parts:

The main part - 2 circles of cardboard. We calculate the diameter of the circle as follows: we measure the length of the arm from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow of the child;

Borders - a hoop made of cardboard about 3-5 cm wide. The inner part of the hoop can be made curly;

Central circle with decoration: dragon head, sun or monogram.

The elements of the cardboard shield for the main part are glued together, after which they are painted and allowed to dry out. The border is painted separately, after which it is applied to the main part and glued. The same is done with the central part of the shield. When the shield is ready, an elastic band is glued to it from the inside, which will fix it in the hand.

When working on a hero's costume for a boy, you can give everyday things a new purpose with your own hands. By connecting imagination and ingenuity, you can accurately copy all the details from ancient legends. The New Year's costume of the hero is impossible without chain mail up to mid-thigh length. You can do it in any of the following ways:

Any plain knit sweater can be turned into armor. To do this, you need to pull it over the legs of a stool or other shape and cover it with "silver" from an aerosol can. The resulting chain mail will be lightweight and comfortable, but it can be unpleasant to wear because of the smell.
A scaled carapace can decorate a hero's costume, turning an ordinary warrior into a warlord. To create it, cut out the details in the form of a rectangle measuring 1x2 cm with one rounded side. As a material, you can use very dense foil, thin linoleum, a cover of a plastic binder.

The difficulty of making chain mail "dragon scales" is that each detail must be painted over, both on the front and on the seamy side. After drying, they are carefully sewn onto a sleeveless jacket made of dense fabric. Rows of scales begin to lead from below in a checkerboard pattern, and each next row is laid with an overlap of half the length.

Another bright element is a shirt that protrudes from under the chain mail by 10-12 cm and is decorated. A braid with a similar decor can be found among handicrafts and can be turned into a regular turtleneck or shirt into a fabulous outfit.

Boots and pants

A hero's costume for a boy is impossible without boots with curved noses or curly tops. You can't find such in shoe stores, and individual tailoring is very expensive. But from available tools, you can easily make fabric covers that are worn over ordinary boots or even sneakers. Their manufacture consists of the following stages:

The elements of trompe l'oeil boots are cut out of dense fabric according to measurements taken over the shoes. Cutting must be carried out with an allowance of 1 cm.
Details are sewn on the inside. To preserve the curly edge, a piece of cardboard is inserted into the bootleg and fixed with an adhesive cloth.
The fabric cover is attached to the boot from the inside using clothes hooks or double-sided tape.

The trousers of the ancient Russian warrior have a "sweatpants" cut and a monochromatic color, without patterns or decorations. So you don't have to pick up a separate thing in a hero's costume, but get by with ordinary trousers. You can even use part of a school uniform, after having smoothed the arrows.

Sword and shield

Fake weapons and equipment will make the outfit for the New Year's party more effective. In addition, they can be set aside at any time to participate in active games. As a rule, a hero's costume is complemented with the following items:

Sheathed straight sword. This item is cut from a sheet of cardboard box and pasted over with paper, and then painted. To decorate the handle, you can use rhinestones, beads or pieces of colored plastic.

Light shield. Complex shapes are intended for European knights, and circles and ovals are associated with Slavic warriors. The decorative shield consists of several parts:

The base is a circle of 2 layers of cardboard. Its diameter is equal to the length from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow of the boy's hand.
The border is in the form of a hoop, 2-3 cm wide. Its inner edge can be figuratively cut.
The central figure is in the form of a silhouette of the sun, a three-headed dragon or a monogram.

The elements of the shield are pasted over with paper, painted and only after that they are connected into one whole.

1. SHIRTS.

To do this, take a regular white shirt and a special braid with embroidery. Cut off the cuffs and collar. We sew the braid along the edge of the collar and along the edge of the shelf on which the loops are located -15-20 cm down. We also sew the tape along the bottom of the sleeves.

2. PROTECTION.

For protection, we take regular fabric "Two-thread"... We cut it over the shirt, only a little longer and wider. The neck, accordingly, is made a little larger, the sleeves are shorter. Sew a gray bias tape along the bottom of the sleeves and along the edge of the neckline.

Draw an ornament on the sewn-on parts with silver acrylic paint.

Protection is ready!

There is no particular preference here. You can take any pants that match the color and are wide enough.

We need thick cardboard for the helmet. We make such a blank.

We glue the part along the allowances with a glue gun.

We paint our helmet with bronze spray paint (I took with a hammer effect).

We weave a braid from knitting threads and glue it along the edge of the helmet.

Our helmet is ready!

For a raincoat, a piece of red lining fabric is needed - 1 meter and a gold ribbon for decoration

We outline and cut out the neck and bottom.

Then we sew a gold braid around the edges, and a braid with embroidery along the neckline.

Sew strings along the edges of the neck (gold braid)... And our cloak is ready!

6. BOOTS.

We make just such a pattern for parts and leather substitute.

We sew all the details along the edges.

Sew a silver braid along the upper edge of the boots. And the boots are ready!

The spear is very simple! We take a polyethylene pipe and cardboard. We paint the pipe with paint spray - bronze, and form a tip from cardboard (paint it with spray paint too)... We connect one to the other with a glue gun and the spear is ready!

For the shield, we need cardboard, spray-bronze paint, gouache paint (red and ocher, thick threads, wide elastic band, glue gun.

Cut four circles of different sizes from cardboard. We paint them with paints. On the second circle we form a thread pattern. On the first circle, make slots and insert an elastic band (for arm mounting)... There should be two mounts to make it easier to hold the shield. Next, we collect our shield (glue the circles together).
